Prologue

Unknown POV

I've finally found her! There's something different about her though...

I watch from the shadows as she laughs with her friends. She looks so happy, but I swear I just saw it.. there it is again!

In her eyes, it's a strange look... it's as if, when I look at her in a certain way, her eyes become more open... they don't show the amusement the rest of her face shows.

I look over my shoulder to the boys standing beside me. They're slightly smaller than me, a few centimetres at least.

We've been watching her for a while. Waiting. Observing. Seeing how she works, how her brain functions before preparing for her reaction when we tell her.

I hear a bell ringing and as she starts to walk towards us we move away silently, making sure she doesn't catch us.

When we're a safe distance away I watch as she goes in the opposite direction of her friends, running up the stairs to get to class.

I turn and head to my own class, my future beta and third following after me.

I barely hear anything around me, all I can think about is her.

How will she react? Will she believe me? Will she call the police?

I didn't even notice when school ended, or when I got to my room at home, but soon I was drifting to sleep.
