Epilogue,
Two years later...
Cambryn's P.O.V.
Mckladdon Keep June 16th, the year of our lord King William II and Queen Mary, 1694.
I was sitting in my office, going over the lists of tenants that recently joined our clan, after I married my wife, Belanna. Life was filled with peace, and because he was now married to Taiglach McKenzie's daughter, their feud ended. Kellan decided that he wanted to be trained at his grandfather's keep. Bella tried to stop him from doing so. Their daughter, Maggie was now two years of age and was starting to walk, unfortunately, she fell back on her bottom so many times, that she upped to crawl instead. I was then interrupted by the sound of my door opening and looking up from my papers, I smiled when I saw Maggie crawl into the room, and giggle up at me.
"Papa."
She screamed at me. Shaking my head, I got up from my seat, walked over to her, bent down and gathered her into his arms.
"Did you escape your nursemaid again, little bird?"
Maggie only giggled harder as she placed a slobbery kiss on my cheek.
"Come, let's go find your Mama."
I said as I carried her out of the room and began making my way to Bella's new healing cottage, that I had constructed soon after we were married. When I got there, I found her sitting next to her table with little Robbie again, mending his arm. That boy got in more and more accidents, that I was positive that his mother and father were worried to no end. After getting his arm splinted, Robbie jumped off the table, reached into his doublet and pulled out a copper farthing and held it out to her. Bella shook her head and gave back the coin. "No. My dear. You keep it, save it for some sweets. I am happy I was able to help. Now promise me that you will be more careful next time?"
I smiled at her, "I will M'lady." I then turned about and ran out of the cottage, only to slam into the laird's legs. He sat Maggie down and watched her crawl to her mother, then he picked me up and placed me back on my feet. "Didn't your lady say that you had to be careful, Robbie?"
I bowed my head and shrugged and silently nodded. "Well, then I suggest you heed her."
"Yes, Laird. I will."
I said as I ran out to the room again.
After seeing the boy out, I walked towards my wife and daughter. But became worried when I saw her press her hands to her back and grimaced.
"My love, are you okay? Is it the baby?"
Bella sighed heavily and rolled her eyes at her husband. She kissed him on the lips and patted him on the chest reassuringly.
"Of course its the baby, my love. I swear he is eager to join us soon."
She was further surprised when she noticed that he picked her up and carried her.
"Then I believe, that you should rest!!"
I then noticed that Maggie crawled over to us and made grunting noises, indicating that she wanted to be held too.
"Oh my goodness, I believe, Maggie wants your attention, too my love."
She said giggling. I then reached down and picked up our daughter and settled her in Bella's arms, then turned about and walked back out of the cottage and then walked towards the keep. Without even stopping, I continued carrying her up the stairs and to our bedchamber. When I walked in he saw a maid, folding our clothes, I instructed her to attend to her lady while I went to put Maggie down for her afternoon nap.
