Tikki POV

I pull away from the fireworks of the kiss first.

"Plagg, I have to go." I whisper. "Fencing practice should almost be over by now."

Plagg gazes at me sadly. "Ok, but promise me we'll see each other again...promise you won't just disappear again..."

My eyes water. "Yes. I promise."

"Me too."

I climb into Marinette's school bag, but it smells muskier. The smell of the locker must've set in.

Exhaustion hits me and I drift into a deep sleep.

"Goodnight, Cookie." I hear before letting myself go to sleep.

-

"Mari, um, I don't think you're doing that right?" I say watching her try to stab the sword into the dummy.

It was bending and bowing every which way as Marinette tried to get the dull blade to pierce the potato sack.

"R-really?" Mari said as she panted.

"Um, yeah." I say rubbing the back of my neck. "I think we're supposed to just hit the target, not um..."

"Murder it?" She finished blushing. "Yeah, I guess I went a little overboard."

"Is something wrong?" I said coming up to her.

"No." She said immediately. "Yes. I don't know. It's just, Chloe just had to butt in even when she knew-"

She stopped herself, her cheeks reddening even more.

I smirk. "Even when she knew we were a couple?"

-

I gulp.

"Yeah, that." I mumble.

Before I could say anything else, Coach called the end of practice and Adrien went to collect all the helmets of his teammates.

WELL I MUST LOOK LIKE A COMPLETE IDIOT.

I should go see a doctor to check if I have a disease called word vomit. I'm sure it has no cure.

I slump and curse my stupidity as I walk to the locker room. I take my helmet off along with my fencing suit.

Adrien's locker squeaks as I open it. I take my bag and stuff my suit into it, avoiding squashing the lump in the corner. Probably Tikki.

I rush and put my helmet on the shelf before I leave. I'd prefer not to see Adrien before I left since my cheeks are still burning from his couple comment.

I shake my head and run out from the courtyard and hop onto my bike. I put my bag into the basket and pedaled furiously to the bakery.

"Tikki is not going to believe what I just did..."

-

I line the helmets neatly on their rack and exhale.

Perfect.

Walking back to the locker room, I wonder where Marinette ran off to. We were gonna walk back together but she probably had an emergency or something.

I sigh and take my bag from my locker, stuffing my fencing gear inside.

Plagg is silent on the walk home, and i guess that he's asleep.

Was Mari ok?

-

I get home and flop into my bed.

Mom probably senses that something is wrong so she brings up a plate of cookies.

They are fresh from the oven, piping hot.

I wait for them to cool before trying a bite.

"Mmmmm."

The chocolate melts in my mouth and the cookie is soft and fluffy.

Mom's cookies are the BEST.

I remember that Tikki loves Mom's cookies too, so I reach for my bag to wake her.

"Hey Tikki. I say as i open the bag's zipper. "Want a cookie?"

"No. I want cheese. Camembert would be nice."

-

I get home and hear a smash.

It comes from upstairs. Yells follow the noise and I flinch.

Father was breaking things again. I could hear faint protests, probably from Natalie, but the yelling continued.

I go to my room and close the door soundlessly. I didn't want to be the target for Father's anger today.

I heard a muffled sound from my bag.

It sounded like; "Cheese! Feed me now!"

I roll my eyes and unzip the bag.

"Please! Let me out!" A high pitched voice squeaked.

A red polka dotted kwami floats out and zooms away from me.

"You aren't Plagg." I say carefully.

"And you aren't Ladybug." The kwami says from the far side of the room, shivering in the corner of the ceiling.

-

I scream.

Tikki had turned a onyx black and grown whiskers. This wasn't Tikki.

I backed away behind my bed and get out my ruler. At least I can defend myself.

The THING doesn't come out of the bag, but I hear a knock on my door.

"Are you ok sweetie?" Mom's voice says from the other side of the door.

"Yeah." I lie. "It was just a spider, I got it."

"Ok. If you're sure." Mom's footsteps fade away and I relax a bit.

Then the THING floats out.

"Hey! What's the big idea?" He says annoyed. "Where's Chat Noir?"

"I'm the one who should be asking the questions! Where is Tikki?! What have you done to her?!" I whisper shout.

"Tikki?" His eyes light up with recognition. "I see. So you're her holder? She's always picked the softies I tell ya."

I lower my gaurd. "You know her?"

"Yeah, of course, she and I...we have a history." The kwami says, his eyes going distant.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Plagg, my holder is Chat Noir. I take it that you know him?"

"Yes." I drop my ruler. "I'm Marinette. Or Ladybug."

-

"It's ok. I won't hurt you." I say to the frightened kwami. "I'm a friend of Ladybug's."

"Prove it." She says.

"I am Chat Noir, holder of Plagg." I tell her.

She relaxes a little, but still a bit cautious. "I'm Tikki. Ladybug's kwami."

I smile. "Nice to meet you Tikki."

Tikki gives a small smile and nods. "You too."

Just as she finishes, an explosion goes off outside.
