The day went by and I couldn't help daydreaming while the teacher droned on and on about some species of zebra or something.

Adrien's hair was so shiney, and I could smell a faint rosemary scent from him.

Jeez. I creep myself out sometimes.

"Marinette!" I hear a harsh whisper. "Snap out of it!"

I blink a couple of times and shake my head.

"You almost got caught!" Alya whispered as the teacher shot a suspicious glance.

"Sorry!" I mouthed.

I eternally groaned. This was going to be a looong day.

Plagg POV

LUNCH BELL. YAS.

CHEEEEEESEEEEEEEEEE.

Adrien needed to feed me more...

I waited in his fencing locker for him to show up.

Ugh. Come ON. How slow can he go?

When Adrien FINALLY showed up, he turned the dial of the locker to open it excruciatingly SLOWLY.

"What took you so long?" I whined as he opened the locker.

He smiled and shook his head with a sigh. "Nothing much."

"You better give me more breakfast next time." I said as I took 5 rolls of cheese from him.

"Pfft." Adrien raised a brow. "Like three wasn't enough. Seriously though. Natalie's getting worried."

"Eh." I shrug as I shove more cheese into my mouth. "That's a YOU problem, not a ME problem."

Adrien rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. It's not YOUR locker that smells like freaking DIRTY SOCKS everyday. Honestly, if you want cheese that bad, just stay in my school bag."

"Fine I will." I said, floating out and diving into his bag. "There."

"Wait—I didn't actually mean—you can't just—ugh. You know what? Never mind. I'm gonna be late, let's go." Adrien zipped up his bag to leave me in pitch darkness.

Suddenly, the bag started to bump and sway intensely.

"SLOW DOWN KID!" I yelled, but I'm pretty sure he didn't hear me, because I could've sworn he ran faster...

Tikki POV

COOKIE TIME!

I was pretty hungry. Marinette put her stuff away and then took us to the park.

I float out and tilt my head, confused. Wasn't she supposed to have lunch with Alya today?

"Hey, Marinette?" I ask as she takes out her lunch. "What about Alya? Don't you guys have lunch together?"

Marinette shook her head. "No, she and Nino had a date so I told her I'd be ok. Besides," she smiles and tickles my tummy. "I wanted to spend some time with my favorite kwami!"

I giggle. "Marinette!"

We laugh.

"Here's your lunch Tikki." Marinette handed me a huge cookie that was still a little warm.

We ate lunch quickly and headed back to school.

-TSBIL-

The bell rang and I bolted out of my chair to face Adrien awkwardly.

"Hey Adrien?" I ask her.

"Yeah?" He says, putting his books away.

"Could you maybe...um...show me where the fencing club meets?" I wring my fingers.

"Oh that's right, didn't you audition last week?" He smiled.

I nod.

"Of course, follow me m'lady."

Marinette and I walked to the locker rooms and I let her put her bag in my locker since she didn't have one yet.

She insisted on leaving it out, but I didn't want anyone taking her stuff.

We left the bags and headed over to practice after we put on our gear.

Tikki POV

Yawn. That was a nice nap.

I stretched out and blinked.

Huh?

Why was it so dark?

Isn't Marinette supposed to be home by now?

I float out of the bag.

Still dark.

"Marinette?" I call softly.

"What?" I hear a voice. That's definitely not Marinette. "Who are you? Do you have food?"

I shake my head. "No, I don't have food..."

There's only one person I can think of that could want food in any situation.

"Plagg?" I say cautiously. "Is that you?"

"Tikki?" A pair of bright green eyes appear. "You're alive?"

I roll my eyes. "Of course I am dummy! Why wouldn't I be—"

I choke down a sob.

"It's been so long..." I say in a wavering voice.

The piercing eyes soften and float closer. I feel arms embrace me. "I missed you, Tikki."

I let my tears flow. "I missed you too Plagg. Don't leave me again....."

"Shhh....I won't." Plagg whispers. "It's ok now..."

"I love you Plagg."

"Me too, Cookie, me too...."

I feel his tears on my cheeks as he kisses me tenderly for the first time in a thousand years.
