As some of you may know, I am rewriting the chapters of American Muslim. I first started writing this "book" when I was 13, with my last entry when I was probably 15 years old.
However, I wrote without much knowledge of Islam, and without much knowledge of who I am as a person and of the world. Now that I am 19 and going onto 20 (so years of exploring myself), I feel obligated to rewrite each topic as I may no longer have the same views or express those views differently today.
I hope that American Muslim remains as an accurate and inspiring chronicle of the life of a South Asian Muslim living in the United States of America and I encourage other Muslims to write their own versions (British Muslim, Dutch Muslim, Indian Muslim, French Muslim, Mexican Muslim).
