"Pam! Can you come down here?"

I heard Fergal call up the stairs as I looked through the closet in the nursery.

"Coming "

I called. I walked down the stairs to see Fergal with an older woman and man.

"What's going on?"

I asked him.

"Pamela, this is my Mum and Dad, Leonie and Fintan."

Fergal said.

"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry. Hi, I'm Pamela."

I said as I shook their hands.

"It's alright sweetheart. You didn't know."

Fintan said with a laugh.

"What are you guys doing here?"

I asked them.

"We wanted to come meet our sweet little granddaughters and the amazing girl who Fergal chose to have his daughters."

Leonie said as I smiled.

"Well I don't even know where to begin."

I said.

"Well I actually brought a little something."

Leonie said as she reached into her bag.

"Mum, please don't tell me that you brought the baby album."

Fergal groaned.

"Of course I did Fergie."

Leonie said as she pulled out a baby book.

"Mum, please no."

Fergal protested.

"Why? I wanna see you as a baby, Fergie!"

I said with a smile as I picked his cheek. I sat down on the couch with Leonie as we looked through the baby book.

"You were adorable Fergal! I hope our girls are just as adorable."

I said with a smile.

"You didn't have to cook dinner Leonie. I could've did it."

I said as I sat down at the island next to Fergal and Fintan.

"You should be resting right now. You don't want to be doing too much right now. Besides, I've missed taking care of my kids."

Leonie said as I smiled.

"So, are you two excited for the girls to come?"

Fintan asked Fergal and I.

"I'm kinda terrified. I just want to be the best mom I can be."

I said.

"I can tell that you're gonna be a great Mum Pamela."

Fintan said as I smiled.

"Thank you. I'm just really scared about giving birth. I'm not the best with pain."

I said.

"Well, I'm sure Fergal will be there the whole time. Don't forget to give her lots of back rubs while she's in labor, Fergal. And don't make it about yourself."

Leonie said as she waved the spatula at Fergal, causing me to laugh.

"Fergal, can I speak to you in the hallway?"

I heard Leonie ask. Fergal and Leonie stepped out into the hallway and I spied on them a bit.

"I think she's an amazing girl for you Fergal. I always had a feeling that Rebecca wasn't the one. You better get her before Pamela finds another guy."

Leonie said.

"One step at a time Mum."

Fergal said. I smiled as I walked back to the island. Maybe one day Fergal will fall in love with a loser like me. But that's a big maybe.
