'Let's just get this over with,' Will grunted.
'Get over what? You're here because you still want me,' Maggie flirted.
'You don't know anything do you?' he snapped. 'I have had to change my phone number, and email address eight times because of you. It has been 12 years Maggie, we were over then and we are most certainly over now.'
She looked furious, like she could punch a hole right through the wall. 'Will, cheating on you was, and still is, my biggest regret. I am so sorry, and all I want is for us to go back to how we used to. Don't you remember that night at the Grand Hotel, when we shared some room service since all the stores were shut, and then on the balcony you kissed me soft--'
Will got up and started leaving the room, 'Do not reminisce our past. I have erased all of that from my mind and I don't get why you can't do that too. I did not come here to rekindle our relationship, I came here to tell you to leave me alone or else I will put restraining orders on you. It's getting out of hand.'
Meanwhile, Kat walked out onto the balcony and peered down on the streets for Will. He had been gone much longer than she'd expected, and she was worried something might've happened. She glanced over to the hotel foyer across the street, and noticed a familiar figure walking out. That's not. Is that Will? She wondered. As the figure grew closer she realised it was in fact her lover walking out of his ex's hotel foyer. Devastated, she walked into Will's bedroom and gathered her belongings.
As she opened up his door to exit, he walked into her view.
'Hey, where are you going? Are you alright?' he asked, with a concerning look on his face.
'I just saw you walk out of your ex's hotel lobby. What the hell Will? You told me I was the one you wanted,' she cried.
'Oh, please let me explain. She kept texting me so I needed to tell her to back off in person.'
Kat stepped back, 'Are you sure that's the only reason why you went there?'
He stepped closer to her, 'Yes, that is the only reason, I swear.'
She nodded, 'Okay, I trust you.'
Just as Will tried to explain himself a bit more, a shadow appeared behind him and called out his name.
'Will, honey, you forgot your keys. You must've been so flustered by our little get together that you completely didn't realise,' she laughed.
Kat covered her mouth in shock, 'Okay, what did you two do together?'
'Well, now that you've aske--'
'Maggie, stop it.' Will turned to face Kat, and gave her a restoring hug. 'Please don't listen to her, all I did was tell her to leave me alone. We did not do anything.'
'But you're missing out the part where you tried to kiss me,' giggled Maggie.
Kat adjusted her bag on her shoulder and stared at Will in the eyes, 'I'm sorry, but I need to go.' She stormed out of the doorway and walked past the devil standing next to Will. Maggie let out a little chuckle as she saw the tears run down Kat's face.
'That's it,' yelled Will, 'you're going to leave Kat and I alone once and for all, or else I am bringing the law into this. I'm over it.'
Maggie took a deep breath and nodded her head. 'Okay, fine. I've tried everything, but it seems your love for Katherine is too strong. I'll leave you alone, for good this time.'
Will sighed in relief and closed his front door. He didn't even look at Maggie because he couldn't forgive her for all the things she had put Kat through. He stormed out of his apartment block and searched for Kat on the streets. She was nowhere to be found. Where is she? She couldn't have driven anywhere because her car is at home. He ripped out his phone and dialled her number. 'Kat, please pick up. I'm sorry, we need to talk,' he cried, as he left a voicemail.
Kat hung up after listening on the other side, and threw her phone on the bed. She placed her hands in her hair and cried out in pain. She cried so loud you could hear her agony through the walls of every room in the apartment building. She felt like her heart had been ripped out of her chest and smashed into pieces. She trusted Will, but Maggie was so convincing that she couldn't help but think something had happened between the two of them back at the hotel. She hurried to her bathroom and turned on the shower. The water came out fast and cold, freezing cold. Kat jumped in, and washed her face to get rid of the marks of smudged makeup. Her hair was drenched, and her skin was saturated, but all she did was wait in the water. She stood still, and sobbed.
Half an hour passed, and Kat had only switched off the water. She wrapped herself up in a warm towel and walked into her kitchen. Just as her hand went to grab a glass she heard a soft knock on the door. She dropped the cup, causing it to smash into a million pieces. Damn it. She walked over to the door and opened it aggressively.
'Kat, please hear me out,' pleaded Will. The edge of his lip curved up and tried to smile, as did hers.
She took a deep breath, 'Firstly, I'm sorry I left so suddenly. I guess it was all just getting too intense.' She put her hands on his cheeks, 'I just need you to tell me the honest truth.'
He wrapped his hands around her waist, 'I am being completely honest when I tell you that I only went there to tell her to leave. Yes, it was wrong of me to not tell you the truth of where I was going, and for that I am truly sorry.'
Kat let out a little laugh, 'My love for you must be pretty strong considering I've spent the past hour crying about you.'
'Oh, I'm so sorry I've put you through this. I love you so much and seeing you upset today has made me realise that even more. I don't think I've cried so much either.'
Will pulled her in tightly and kissed her neck. Kat was still wearing a towel, and in that moment he so desperately wanted to carry her like a bride to the bedroom. However, instead he kissed her right there. This kiss was small at first, but after a few seconds it blossomed into the most intense kiss the pair had ever shared. It was filled with sorrow, timidness, and the pain of losing one another. But also love, a very strong kind of love. Without letting go, the pair walked into her bedroom. Will placed hands on the tip of the towel and Kat gave him a nod. Without hesitation, he pulled it off in one swift move and Kat lay down with him on top. She wrapped her legs around his waist and used her hands to remove his clothing. His tongue grazed her bottom lip and she quivered.
'Shall we?' he asked, smiling.
