Chapter 5 (Stefan & Caroline)

(Caroline's POV)

Ughhh!!! Why can it not be me for once. Why does it always have to be Elena. Elena this... Elena that... ughh why are all the boys drooling all over her? Like for example Stefan. Even though he already knows that Elena is so not into him and with his brother, he's still going after her like a lost puppy. I saw her with Damon today. She went yo school with Damon and went out of it with Damon. I hope Elena is doing what we discussed in the Mystic Grill restroom yesterday.

I need to go out with my friends to clear my head from all this boys situations. I scroll down my phone to my listbof contacts and press Elena's name first.

Phone conversation:

E: hey care whassup?

C: hmm you seem to be in a good mood, let me guess... Damon.

E: yes!!! OMG care can't you believe it, Damon just gave this huge beautiful locket that i just totally fell in love with. It's soo beautiful and he said to always keep it on so that he will always be there to protect me where ever i go.

C: wow girl, he's really something huh?

E:oh he is Caroline, he is.

C: ok fine whatever. Have you asked Stefan yet?

E: what about Stefan? Ohh wai...

C: whatever Elena i'm pretty sure i know your answer by now. Anyway can we please hang out in the grill i really need someone to talk to.

E: oh ok Caroline i'll be there at 8:00?

C:yeah that'll be fine. Bye.

                   -End of phone call-

Now it's Bonnie's turn. I hope she's not busy. I want both of my friends there to comfort me.

B: hello

C: Bonnie grill at 8:00 stat

B: i'm already at the grill you know

C:you are? That's great see ya

                      -End of phone call-

I jumped off the couch to get ready to go to the grill. I need to switch clothes because the clothes i wore for school was too uncomfortable.

I finished getting ready then went out of the house straight to my car. I drove all the way to Mystic Grill. I parked my car then headed inside. I saw Elena and Bonnie talking to each other already. I sigh then go to their table. I flop down next to Elena and she turn to face me in a confused look. "O my gosh Caroline what'a bothering you" she asked while patting my shoulder trying to comfort me. As i was about to speak Bonnie went right in and interrupted me. "OMG Caroline by the way have you already noticed Elena's necklace that Damon gave her. The guy is really something huh?" I shot her a glare, enough to make her stop smiling.

For the rest of the evening i did nothing but listen to Bonnie and Elena talking about their perfect lives. Instead of me being the storyteller here and them as the listeners, well it's quite the exact opposite. Finally i decided i've had enough. "Guys tonight's been awesome, thank you for giving me some of your time. I stand up and walk straight out of the grill without looking back. As i was headed to my car and was about to open the door. I decided to take a little walk first before going home, so that i can really clear my head tonight. I walked along a certain path i just decided to follow. After about 3 minutes of walking i finally decided to go back to my car and go home. But i was kind of lost. And that's whem i heard a voice calling out to me behind my back.

"Caroline hey! Wait up." I quickly turned over my shoulder as the voice i heard was kind of familliar. Stefan. It was him. Oh i swear i could hear my heartbeat like it was in front of a megaphone. "He- ey Ste- fa- an what are you doing he- re i stuttered due ro me being extremely nervous.

He chuckled noticing me stutter and i blused. "Nothing much really just didn't want to see my brother right now" he said giving me a you-know-brothers look. "What did he do now?" I ask then suddenly realizing that it's non of my business. Stefan noticed my look and as i was about to speak he interrupted "no no it's ok but you know it's really not something worth talking about" he said shrugging. I didn't say anything and just continued walking with Stefan by my side. This was actually a lovely moment for me. A moment of silence passed by when Stefan finally started talking to ease the moment. "Hey you know i'm sorry if i've been ignoring you and focusing on Elena much?" I cocked my head to the side then said "you have nothing to worry about because i understand if you like her more than me. I mean most bo-." Stefan placed his fingers on my lips then gave me the sweetest smile i ever saw that could just make my heart melt. "That's where you're wrong Caroline. I don't like Elena more than you. Instead the exact opposite" i stood there while staring at him in awe. I don't believe did a boy that i actually like, like me back. I must be in a dream and i don't ever want to wake up. "Wh- at?", i asked but instead of answering he pulled me at my waist then leaned in to kiss me.

I closed my eyes trying to savor tge moment as i kissed back. This was my dream come true. I never wanted  this moment to end. My hand were still frozen at my sides while still in awe of what qas happening. Stefan pulled back then said "see you at school" and i was about to reach out for him but he was gone just like that. I turned around me to see where he wemt but he was nowhere to be found. That's... strange. Really strange. But i don't care at least now i have someone who actually like me. I turn around to see that my car was already there right where i parked it and to think that i was lost. I went in then drove while smiling to myself, i just can't believe that finally i have proof that there is really a boy out there waiting for me.

Just to let you know, i'm planning on starting a one-shot of delena where Elena is sent back to 1864 accidentally by bonnie then went to meet human Damon and Stefan without Katherine there.
