Jack's POV

I'm not sure why I did it.

I saw Nova running at us and I got scared. I didn't want him dying before he had the chance to explain himself.

I flew us to a small opening a couple miles outside the warehouse, just in case I needed them.

"Thank you, son. I knew I could always count on you." He gloats.

He smiles largely at me, "So, what do you want to know?"

I take a second to gather my thoughts, "Why does everyone say you're bad? Why do people always connect bad things with you?"

He lets out a deep sigh and his face contorts into a look of pure hatred,"My old man made these pestering rodents because he loved to see them grow and learn. He thought they were beyond perfect, I on the other hand didn't. I hated them, still do. They're selfish, impulsive, and greedy. But dad looked past all that and didn't give their flaws a second glance. He wanted me to bow down to them, as he did, and love them more then I loved him. And I couldn't do it, so he had Micheal cast me into hell. Now tell me, does the punishment fit the crime? Especially since I was right! Look at what they've done to this thing, and how many of them blame me for it. It's always 'Oh it's the devil, he's the reason for this and that' They always put the blame on me and never once stop to think that maybe it's their fault."

I take a second to process this new information, maybe my father wasn't as bad as everyone says.

It doesn't sound like it was his fault.

Lucifer points up at the sky, "That right there," He points towards some stars, "Is the Big Dipper."

"And if you keep going that way long enough, you'll reach a whole different galaxy." He says, almost longingly.

I look up in amazement, exploring the galaxy would be incredible.

I bet Nova would love looking at all the stars and planets.

"There's a whole universe out there, Jack, that's just waiting to be discovered." Lucifer finally looks at me, "What do you say, son? You and I can venture into the great beyond."

"What about Nova? And Sam, Dean, Castiel, and Mary? What about my family?" I ask worried.

"You'll see them again. I just want us to go away for a while to...get to know each other better," Lucifer reassures me.

I nod but can't shake the feeling that something's off.

"So what do you say champ? You ready to have the adventure of your life?" He asks with a smile.

But before I can answer, I hear the all-to-familiar sound of angel wings flapping.
