Mason's POV:
The anger I felt in this moment was enough to make me see red, nothing around me in that moment mattered except my father who was pointing his gun at me, making me point my gun at him.
"Shoot me then, I honestly think you aren't man enough to do it yourself"
I was finally able to get my revenge and kill him once in for all but in this moment, I want to see if he actually had the balls to kill me himself instead of sending a hitman to do which by the way failed since I killed him for killing my little sister.
"You really think I can't do it myself? Boy the only reason I haven't done it myself was because I didn't want to get my hands dirty" he shrugged while smirking which made me want to shoot him even more.
"Then fucking do it!!" I drop my gun on the ground and kick it away while walking over to him until I was about 2 feet away from his gun pointing at my chest.
"Mason no! What the hell are you doing?!" I hear Abby say behind me but I just ignore her.
"Don't test me boy, you think I won't shoot you huh?" A gunshot went off and before I know it I'm on the ground holding my leg, hearing Abby crying and screaming in the background but I wasn't about to let her ruin my plan.
"Are you fucking serious? In my leg? That's the best you can do? You are supposed to kill me but instead you just injure me. Pathetic" I grin up at him now knowing that he never could do it for himself. What he didn't know was that I was full on serious about killing him, he took everything away from me and now the one thing I have in my life that makes me happy, he is trying to take that away from me too. No way.
Grabbing the hidden gun from the back of my waist band, I quickly, without hesitation shoot him in the head, making him drop instantly. After standing up, I shoot him in the head a few more times for good measure before turning my attention to Abby.
Abby's POV:
"You fucking idiot! He could've actually killed you!" I say while trying to hold back tearing as he unties me from my bounds.
"I knew he wouldn't do it Abby" he walked in front of me, kneeling to grab my face so I would look at him "I may be stupid but I would of never provoked him if I knew he was going to actually do it okay?"
"Yeah well he still shot you!" I rubbed at my wrists that now have rope marks on them before pulling this idiot in front of me into a hug. "Please tell me that nothing like this will happen again?"
"I promise, and I'll explain everything after I take us to the hospital" I pull her up from the chair and start limping my way out of the building, pulling her along.
About 30 minutes later, we were at the hospital being seen and getting our wounds addressed. Luckily for me I just had a few scrapes and bruises but for him, he had to get a bullet removed from his leg and get stitches. After a while we were being discharged and on our way back home.
"Finally! I've never missed home so much before" I pull up into the drive way, turned the car off and walked over to Mason's side to help him out of the car. "I'm really okay, I don't need-" before he could continue talking, I wrapped my arm around his waist and started walking him to the door "please just let me."
Hearing him sigh, he deals with it and we make it inside. I help him sit on the couch and I join him after."So are you going to explain to me what the hell is going on and why I just got kidnapped?"
I see him give me a side glance then lets out a long sigh "Long story short, my father was a drug lord and worked with very powerful people. When I was younger he made me do things with him that I don't even want to speak about and they still give me nightmares. One day we end up getting caught but they let me go and shot him which made me think they killed him but in the end he just sent a hitman to try to kill me when he actually killed my little sister instead. Ever since then I swore I would kill him for everything he has done."
Mason readjusted himself and turned towards me while grabbing my hands "I promise I had no idea he would come after you and to be honest, he hasn't tried to do anything to me for awhile so I though he stopped. I'm so sorry Abby I never wanted this."
"Mason.." I said lowly and placed my head against his "I'm so sorry to hear about your sister, I would've loved to of met her. Everyone has their shit , although this is more than I thought it was but you can't control your past, plus you were just a kid. I couldn't imagine what that would do to someone. All things considered, I am sorry about your dad."
He gives a sly smile and chuckles a bit "I'm not but I appreciate you for even being with me still after everything".
I was about to reply to him but I heard a knock I on my front door, making me get up and walk over to see who it was. "No.." Opening the door I try my hardest to not start crying without getting any information first.
"Ma'am I'm sorry to bother you a bit late but I just wanted to let you know that I have news about your father and him being M.I.A" The man said as I stay in silence waiting for him to continue, hoping he is okay.
"We found him, he is alive but is in critical condition. We currently have him at our base hospital and are having surgery as we speak, he ended up having to get his leg amputated but does have shards of material from the crash stuck in his chest. I'm hoping for the best but I'm not sure if he will make it"
Right then and there I break down, turning towards Mason after he stumbles over to me. Why does this day have to get worse? "W-When can I see him?"
"We will notify you as soon as he is out of surgery or if anything changes during his surgery, I'm sorry ma'am" with that being said he turns and walks back to his car and drove off.
"Fuck! I can't lose my dad, not like this."
