Attack on titan is one of the most successful anime's, but you might wonder about some plots and twists. I'm here to answer as many questions as possible. Request in the comments!
Throughout the series, the character called 'Krista Lenz' has appeared and had an ever growing role in Attack On Titan.
Krista is a short, blonde girl who helps out everyone and shows kindness and loyalty to all she meets. But Krista is later known by another name, 'Historia Reiss'. This name is revealed to be her real name, and 'Krista Lenz' was just a disguise.

Historia was born on a farm the Reiss family owned. Her mother, Alma, was a distant woman who never spoke a word to Historia. Her first words to Historia were "I wish I had the courage to kill her".
Alma worked for Rod Reiss, and became pregnant with Historia by him. Historia was only kept alive in hopes that Alma would be able to live the life of luxury with Rod Reiss.

For most of Historia's life, she was in iscolation at the farm. Everybody had wished she hadn't been born and was constantly put to work. Only the animals were Historia's friends, and had an occasional visit by her half sister, Frieda Reiss. Although she did not remember any of this due to the fact that Frieda possessed the founding titan 'The Co-ordinate'.

One day, Alma left in a carriage, and came back a few weeks later with Rod Reiss. Rod introduced himself as Historia's father and offered to take her to his mansion. But before anything could happen, a group of armed men surrounded them and killed Alma. To make sure Historia and himself were spared, Rod declared that she'd live in Wall Rose under the name 'Krista Lenz'. Of course, Rod only wanted to save Historia for her blood.

The Reiss family is the blood ruling family of the walls. After Rod's death, Historia was the last Reiss. And after taking down the Fritz bloodline and revealed herself to be the ruler of the walls, Historia was crowned queen 'The Cattle Farming Goddess'.
