Epilogue

Holly’s POV

All’s well that ends well I suppose.

Logan and I got married on the day of my eighteenth birthday.

It was the best day in the world. The only regret I have is that my mother wasn’t there. We didn’t get to go dress shopping ot pick out colour schemes or flowers or anything like that. But it all turned out alright I suppose as Jen helped me.

After her mega wedding, she decided to go into wedding planning.

Finn and Annie are growing as well. They’ll be turning seventeen soon.

Finn is so much like Liam it’s scary and Annie is just like her grandmother.

I’m thirty now and Logan and I have twins and a daughter and a son.

The twins are nearly nine. Their names are Jennifer Madge and Liam Haymitch.

I’d said since the games finished that whenever I had children, they’d be called Liam and Jennifer. I owed it to them.

Jennifer loves spending time with her ‘Auntie Jen’ and Liam is a total water bug, just like his ‘Uncle Li’.

Katniss absolutely dotes on them. Dad does too. Logan says Haymitch would but he died the day the twins were born so we decided to make Liam’s middle name Haymitch, to honour Haymitch’s memory.

Our son is called Gale Logan. He loves his Grandpa G and he’s just like Logan.

He’s six years old.

The youngest of the four is Maysilee Katniss Mellark. She’s named for my mother’s aunt who died in the 50th Hunger Games and of course, her wonderful grandmother. She’s three.

After we returned from the Capitol, Dad moved in with Katniss and they still live in Katniss’ house in the Victors Village. They aren’t married or in love or anything. They’re just best friends. And for them that’s enough.

Rue and Finnick are seventeen now and they’re excited to start working.

With the games finally behind us, we can look to the future. A bright future where the games don’t exist and everyone I love can live safely, without fear.

And to me that’s the most important thing.

They’re all safe.

And that way they will remain, until the end of time.
