"I will never belong, never. And that's why I'll be the one to destroy this illusion I live in."
Adopted by the Uchiha Clan and named by the Leaf Village and with no memory of her prior life, 6 years old Umi starts her life as a shinobi of Konoha. W...
"Megumi-chan... you understand now, don't you? What is coming." The voice called to me and I shook my head. I don't understand, I won't, I will not.
"Do you, remember yet?" The voice continued and I held my head. Shut up.
"I see not... But never mind... Same as always, soon... You'll remember..." The voice said and I looked up towards it. Like always, it was shapeless, around me, inside me.
"Umi-chan, I'm sorry..." The voice continued, now vibrating and growing further and further away. I no longer resort to chasing it because I knew, I wouldn't ever catch up.
"I'm sorry I won't be here anymore..." The voice said, somehow different than before, softer, nicer.

"Where have you been, again?" She asked, making sure to emphasize again.
"I fell asleep in the forest..." I answered truthfully but Mikoto looked like she didn't believe me. Oh well...
"No next time, okay? I was worried..." Mikoto softened at my expression and hugged me.
"Mother..." I called through her clothes and she looked down at me.
"Yes?" She asked softly, her eyes were filled with love. Unlike father's cold eyes...
"What's happening..." I whispered and I could feel Mikoto's body tremble slightly.
"Nothing, Umi-chan... It is only some trouble within the clan, nothing to worry about." Mikoto said and I looked up at her face. Her eyes betrayed her lie but I said nothing. I nodded and hugged her tight again.
I retreated to my room as soon as possible and laid down again. The headache was still building and I needed to rest. I just wish for everything to be a dream...
