"Megumi-chan... you understand now, don't you? What is coming." The voice called to me and I shook my head. I don't understand, I won't, I will not.

"Do you, remember yet?" The voice continued and I held my head. Shut up.

"I see not... But never mind... Same as always, soon... You'll remember..." The voice said and I looked up towards it. Like always, it was shapeless, around me, inside me.

"Umi-chan, I'm sorry..." The voice continued, now vibrating and growing further and further away. I no longer resort to chasing it because I knew, I wouldn't ever catch up.

"I'm sorry I won't be here anymore..." The voice said, somehow different than before, softer, nicer.

"I'll have to do it..." The voice continued and I felt sadness welling up inside me. Why?

"The promise... I..." The voice said before everything shattered.

I jerked awake and stared up at the trees above me

I jerked awake and stared up at the trees above me. I looked around me, confused and realized the forest had darkened and it was probably already night time. I fainted after that... I thought as I remembered what I had just heard. I quickly crawled up and ran through the forest, following the village path and eventually reached the Uchiha Compound. I looked up at the sky. The almost full moon was already out.

When I ran into the house, breathless, Mikoto-san was waiting with an unhappy expression.

"Where have you been, again?" She asked, making sure to emphasize again.

"I fell asleep in the forest..." I answered truthfully but Mikoto looked like she didn't believe me. Oh well...

"No next time, okay? I was worried..." Mikoto softened at my expression and hugged me.

"Mother..." I called through her clothes and she looked down at me.

"Yes?" She asked softly, her eyes were filled with love. Unlike father's cold eyes...

"What's happening..." I whispered and I could feel Mikoto's body tremble slightly.

"Nothing, Umi-chan... It is only some trouble within the clan, nothing to worry about." Mikoto said and I looked up at her face. Her eyes betrayed her lie but I said nothing. I nodded and hugged her tight again.

I retreated to my room as soon as possible and laid down again. The headache was still building and I needed to rest. I just wish for everything to be a dream...
