Now i know why he calls me 'Marie'

“ahh c’mon Marina.” Suzy said.

“no” I replied plugging my phone for charging.

“please please pretty please” she pestered for the hundredth time now. She’s been bothering me since morning to tell her the ‘whole´ story. And by ‘whole’ she seriously means EVERY.SINGLE.DETAIL!

I don’t think so.

“marinaaaa, please” she said again clutching my arms and shaking my whole body. As if that will bring the answer out.

Sigh!!

This girl.

“okay, okay. I give up” I said raising my hands in surrender. A stupid smile plastered on her face looking at me like a lost puppy. “what are you, five?” I asked at her childishness. In response she just shrugged.

I sighed sitting on the bed opposite from her, grabbed a pillow and started with my story.

The whole time she was like “aww” and “oh my god!!” with the dramatic way by keeping her hand on her chest and making her eyes bulge out of their sockets.

By the end of the story time I learned two lessons. One, never sit near Suzy while telling her a story. Because you see, now I have to seriously pay a visit to the doctor to check my ears if they are gonna work fine or I’ll have to live deaf forever.  And my arms are burning and I’m sure there will be some bruises later. You know why? Because ladies and gentle men, my cousin is nuts. She squeezed my arms whenever there was some cute thing while she yelled ‘awwww…so cute’. The story doesn’t end here, she slapped, yes she actually slapped my arms when ever any one of us did something stupid IN the story. And let me tell you, I even took slaps which Jason deserved. Life is so fair with me, right?

Second, at the end I got this. Lemme quote it in her own words. ”Wow, both my cousins are so damn stupid. You’ll make a great couple. Two stupid’s under one roof. I can see the future. I fell so sorry for the people who’ll be unfortunately around you guys. And specially your kids. Oh my god!! I just hope they’ll not get the stupidity gene from their parents. Other than that you two are tooooo cute” and it ended with a bone crushing Suzy special hug.

Well I hope you got my point. I’ve been told how stupid I am and what not.

Sigh!

I came out of my trance when my phone started ringing. The caller id bought a huge smile on my face but it was soon gone. I face palmed myself but I was quite happy at the end. Here’s the conversation with my mom.

Me: “hey! Mom.”

Mom: “Oh my god. My little baby has grown up finally”

Me:”mom…mom…what do you mean ‘finally’? im in college already. And what’s going on?” I asked even though I had a little doubt but still to be sure.

Mom: “I’m very upset with you.” Her voice changed from squealing to pouty.

Me: “mom!!”

Mom: “im getting the news that my baby has a boyfriend now from my sister and my daughter never bothered to tell her own mother.”

Me: “mom, its not like that. I just woke up and then-” she cut me off.

Mom: “don’t tell me you are sleeping till two. Are you? Oh my god! I knew that. Is no one scolding you. How can you-” irritated, I cut her from rambling any more.

Me: “MOM!!! Im  NOT sleeping till two.”

Mom:”okay okay…leave that. I have a news”  again back to squealing. Im sure if mobile wasn’t in her hands she would be clapping like a kid. But im not sure if she actually jumped or not. 90% im sure she did.
