Chapter 7
My morning started, as usual, with the annoying sound but the little change here today was that I had two, unn…in fact three I must say, absolutely annoying sounds that had a huge maddening impact on me. I wasn’t a morning person, remember. Let me just enlighten you guys with the 3 absolute annoying sound, one- my alarm, two- Suzy’s alarm, and three- lemme just add ‘top most annoying’ – ‘The’ great Suzy herself. Huh!
As the two stupid alarms were switched off, stupid Suzy started jumping on my head chirping happily about the picnic. I donno how could she talk so much when she just woke up, and that too so early in the morning. Huh! Suzy and her own self.
There wasn’t a chance with the chirpy Suzy around that I could have a little secret nap before I’m ready to completely wake up for my day ahead. So I decided that it was better to get going, even though I didn’t want to, I dashed into the bathroom. At least it was quite here. When she saw me dashing into bathroom she shut her up and a few seconds later I heard the door slam, indicating that she left. Finally, I was left in peace.
After a quick shower I wrapped a towel around my body and changed into the dress that I decided to wear earlier. A pink lace dress with some jewellery which compliments the dress well and a while jacket. Did a cute paint on my nails and completed the look with a shoes. Dried my hair and let them down. Took my bag and head downstairs.
“Ahh! See the princess finally decided to show up” Mason remarked on my arrival. Thanks to him for showing his face to spoil my whole day.
I wrinkled my eyebrows and glared at him. Before I could say anything he got a shove on head from Alina ”Shut up! Mason” she said to her son. Aww..Thank you, Alina. And I really mean it this time people. I smirked.
“What can I do” I asked considering to help them.
“place these in that basket, hon” Aunt Suzy said pointing towards few sandwiches she was wrapping.
“you are looking gorgeous” Suzy said, while she was placing some plastic plates and cups in the basket.
“thank you, you are looking beautiful yourself” I said with a smile.
“thanks” she mumbled.
“Mason, what are you doing? Come on go and help your brother” Alina ordered. He stood up from his chair with a huff and went outside the kitchen.
“Are you done, Marina?” I nodded. “Then take it outside hon” Aunt Lusy said.
As I was told I took the basket in my hand and started my way to the cars. When I reached the door I saw Jason was the one who was placing everything in the car. I gulped the lump in.
It’s Jason. It’s Jason. My stupid inner voice started. I don’t know but I was feeling awkwardly uncomfortable. Ignoring my inner voice I took a deep breath and made my way to the car.
When I was close enough he heard me coming and looked at me. Nervously I took a few steps forward keeping my eyes low to ignore his eyes and extended my hand to give away the basket him. All the time I felt as if he was looking at my every move which made me even more nervous.
Slowly he stretched his taking the basket from me. I took a glance he was hesitantly taking the basket. Suddenly I jumped back when I heard a whistle.
I saw Mason coming towards us with a smirk on his face. Jason backed away keeping the basket in the mini bus. I turned on my heel ignoring Mason and went back in the safety zone as soon as possible.
We decide to have our breakfast on the way. Soon after everything we needed was done we went to the bus to start off our journey. Joe showed up a few minutes later after that awkward moment.
