*10 years later*
Elisya's POV
"I'll see you later," I smile as I hug Shawn.
"Bye little sis," He smiles as he hugs me back. I then turn around and leave the building I work at. Shawn and I decided to open a record label together. We call it Mendes Records.
I push the glass doors open and step out into the busy city. I pull my phone out of my back pocket and start to dial my best friend, Ryker, to have her pick me up. When I'm walking, I bump into someone. Both of our phones fall onto the floor.
"I'm sorry," I mumble as I scramble to pick up both of the phones. As I pick the strangers phone up, it turns on. The wallpaper made me gasp. It was a photo of me and my ex-boyfriend, 10 years ago.
"Hunter?" I ask, as I hand the stranger his phone.
"Elisya?" He asks, a small smile creeping onto his lips. I wrap my arms around his neck. He seems taken aback by my actions but doesn't hesitate to wrap his arms around my waist.
"God it's been so long," I whisper into his neck.
"Why did you leave?" He whispers back, his voice shaking.
Was he about the cry?
I pull out of the hug and look up at him.
"I thought it was best for the both of us. You were falling back into old habits and it was obviously my fault and Brandon had told me it would be better if I just.... left," I sigh.
"I didn't want you to leave. I would've gone into rehab. I actually did go to rehab, thinking that if I ever ran into you, you'd change your mind and you would come back and stay this time." A tear falls from his eyes. I wipe the tear away. My hand lingers on his cheek a little longer than it probably should have. Out of instinct, I reach up and lightly pull his head down and place my lips on his.
He doesn't hesitate to kiss back. His strong arms wrap around my back as the kiss deepens.
"Get a room!" An old angry man yells as he walks by. Hunter and I can't help but pull away and laugh.
"Do you need a ride home?" Hunter asks. I look down at my phone which was perfectly fine from the drop.
"Yeah," I smile at him.
"My cars just around the corner," He says before guiding me to his car.
When he stops in front of my house I hesitate to get out.
"Have you eaten dinner yet?" I ask looking over at him. He shakes his head.
"You want to come inside and eat?" I ask. I hope he couldn't hear the desperation in my voice.
"Sure," He smiles as he puts his car in park.
