My Life as a Demigod

Chapter 1- My best friend kills my teacher who is secretly a monster?!?

Hi. I'm Jessica but you can call me Jess. Everyone does. Now let's get all the uninteresting things out of the way before we jump into the story. I'm 10 years old. The year is 2011. My birthday is June 29th 2001. I go to Glencove Elementary school in a tiny town called Lagoon Tiny Town in New York. My best friend at Glencove Elementary school is Hayley. I have wavy dark brown hair that is shoulder length and very green eyes. I have bangs. I also have a little bit of a tan. I like to swim a lot. In fact I swim so much that I get called fish girl.

Now on with the story: I don't care a lot about school but it's something that I have to deal with. If I'm being honest I am a horrible student. My grades are either D's or F's. I also don't get along with other kids. If my school actually cared about how I did I wouldn't be in Ms. Judy's 5th grade class.

Ms. Judy is the teacher that everyone hates. She gives way to much homework and she's ugly. She's also really strict. Also she looks like a monster sometimes. Right now we're doing English which is my worst subject. I have an F in that class because it has to do with reading! It's not that I don't like reading I'm just dyslexic.

There are these two annoying boys in my class named Billy and John. John sits next to me. Billy sits behind me and he's pulling my hair right now and kicking my chair. I turn around in my seat and say "Billy. I swear to gods." while threatening to punch him. Hayley keeps me from punching him and she says "Jess. You already have 2 warnings! One more and you'll be sent to the principals office." I say "Ugh fine. I'll stop. But it'll be hard because of my ADHD."

Ms. Judy dismisses us for lunch. Everyone in my class rushes to get whatever disgusting muck the cafeteria was serving. I stay behind because Ms. Judy wants to talk to me. She says "Jessica Jackson!" I get a bad feeling because if Ms. Judy uses your full name you know that you're in for it. Then right before my eyes Ms. Judy grows into an 8 foot tall monster and she got even uglier. I scream. Hayley rushes in and gets out a knife. She kills Ms. Judy. She disintegrates and turns into yellow sand. I say "Hayley. What did you just do to our teacher?"
Hayley says "She was a fury. Not a teacher."
Then I black out.
