Chapter 16- Finding the boy

It seemed like we were falling for hours. When we finally made it into Tartarus we landed in this river. It was so cold that I let go of Jason and accidentally got separated from the group. I got out of the river when I spotted a river bank. Turns out that was a mistake. The river bank was actually like little sharp bits of broken glass. I say "Oh gods! This is like little bits of broken glass. That's when Percy and the group find me. Percy decides to carry me. Then we spot this river of fire. We all go in it and it heals our wounds. Then we get out of the river. Thank the gods it was only black sand now. We all keep walking. Then we come across a cliff. The cliff looks about 1000 feet tall. I wriggle out of Percy's arms and I jump down. That was also a mistake. I fall down about 900 feet when I come across a ledge. I hold on to it. I yell up "I'M OKAY!" Percy yells down "OKAY! NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!" I yell up saying "I WON'T! I'M JUST GOING TO FALL DOWN THE 100 FEET I HAVE LEFT!" I let go of the ledge. I land on solid ground. Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Frank, and Hazel make their way down. Then Leo suddenly appears. Frank says "Leo. Nice of you to join us." We walk for hours then I get the feeling that we're being watched. I say "Percy. I feel like we're being watched." Percy says "That's ridiculous." Just then a group of 5 ugly cheerleader monsters come and start attacking us. They're ripping us to shreds. I jab my sword into one killing it. Then I realize that another cheerleader was sneaking up behind Percy so I yelled "PERCY! BEHIND YOU!" Percy turns around and jabs the cheerleader with his sword. Then he kills the cheerleader he was originally killing. Frank kills a cheerleader. Then I was about to kill the last one but my knees buckled, I fell, and I blacked out.

When I woke up I'm pretty sure it was the next morning although I couldn't tell because time was hard to tell in Tartarus. In Tartarus almost everything was pitch black whereas on the surface of Earth there's day and night. I sit up and notice that Percy and Annabeth aren't around. I ask "Where are Percy and Annabeth?" Jason says "They heard someone yell monster and they thought it might be the guy that's supposedly your future boyfriend so they ran off in the direction they heard the voice. Then I start panicking and I say "AND YOU LET THEM?!? THEY COULD BE KILLED!!" I start crying. Hazel and Piper comfort me. Then a really bad thought comes to my head. I think to myself "What if Percy and Annabeth are dead?" I cry harder. Then I hear Percy's voice. I look up and I see Percy, Annabeth and some boy. Percy says "We made sure that he was the boy we were supposed to find. The boy looks like he's my age. I was about to ask for his name when Annabeth asks "Shall we get out of Tartarus now?" I say "Yeah! Let's get out of this hell hole!" We start walking trying to find a way to escape.
