I wake up and I'm sitting in someone's lap. I look up and I find Percy's green eyes looking down on me. Then I see Annabeth's comforting grey eyes. I sit up.

I ask "How long was I out?" Percy says "About an hour." I say "Oh wow." Then I look around and I notice the pavilion and a rock climbing wall with lava coming out of it. I think to myself "I'm never going on that thing."

Just then Annabeth says "Jess. There's something we need to talk about. Are you okay if Percy stays or should he leave?" I say "I'm okay if Percy stays." We get up and walk to the cabins. We enter a cabin with blue walls and a bed. The cabin smells like the ocean. Percy sits down on the bed and says "Welcome to my cabin." Then I sit down on the bed. Annabeth stands. She says "So are you ready to talk about your past?" I say "I'm ready." Then I explain my past to them. I say "I understand the whole Greek gods and goddesses thing but I don't really know who my godly parent is. I really wish I knew." Annabeth says "Which parent is your stepparent?" I say "I don't have any parents." Percy asks "Why?" I say "When I was younger I never really saw my dad around. When I was 4 years old my mom died. Ever since I can remember I've been in and out of foster homes or just out on the streets. Although I was never fed a lot. That's why I'm so small for my age. But since I was either on the streets or in foster homes I learned to defend myself." Percy says "Oh wow." Then someone comes in and says "Percy. Chiron wants to talk to you." Percy says "Okay." Then he says "I'll be right back Jess." He goes with the person. Annabeth says to me "So judging from your story I think that your godly parent is your dad. I say "I think so." Then I realized that my best friend Hayley isn't around. I say "Hayley. Where is she." Annabeth looks at the ground. She says "She didn't make it. She sacrificed herself for you." I burst into tears. I yell "SHE DIDN'T DESERVE TO DIE! I SHOULD BE DEAD! NOT HER! SHE HAD SO MUCH LEFT TO LIVE!" Annabeth says "Jess. Don't say that. You are amazing. I'm sure Hayley was amazing but you don't deserve to die." I keep crying.
