"I'm still kind of concerned that Colby was so okay with the fact that we are together," I told Leati as he drove us to the restaurant. He chuckled softly and rubbed his thumb over the back of my hand before pressing his lips to it.
"I'm pretty sure he wanted this all along. He just was worried more about you and your stability, I think," he told me, peering over at me. "He was really worried after James,"
"Yeah, I'm sure. But things worked out in our favor, I'd say," I smirked as we pulled into the parking lot of a small restaurant where Colby and Dean and Renee stood talking.
"I still can't believe you kissed me on live TV last night," he chuckled, pulling into a spot before looking over at me. "I was all mushy-gushy inside. Like, Luna Rose just kissed me!"
"You're such a dork," I giggled at his fake googly eyes and leaned over to kiss him before we both got out of the truck. He jogged around and met me by sliding his hand into mine, intertwining our fingers together before leading me to our friends.
"Jesus, its going to take me a minute to get used to that," Colby scoffed, referring to our hands. I laughed softly as I was handed my phone, Colb giving me the look.
"Did I leave this?" I asked, shoving it in my pocket.
"Yes. Plus, you have a missed call and text from every single person in the family. Better get to calling," he told me, dropping his eye in a wink before walking inside the restaurant.
