*****IMPORTANT*****
I have re-uploaded this story. The only reason it is still published is for the other readers that may come back, looking for updates. I have made a new story, same name. Look on my profile for it. Thank you!twelve days later, 4:30PM, Davenport, Iowa.
Leati and I took separate flights to our two separate hometowns to rest up for Raw. We'd kept in touch every second of every day, except for today.
Today was my grandfathers 81st birthday, which meant we were having a family dinner. Today was also the day that Ashton and Colby were coming over to supervise James while he moved his things out of my house.
I sat in my lawn chair while reading a magazine while James and his two idiot friends moved his things out of the house, Ashton and Colby keeping track of my things in the process. I furrowed my brows as the sunlight disappeared from my body, leaving me feeling cold, and my head snapped up to see James.
"What?" I snapped coldly, raising a brow.
"Baby, I'm really sorry. I fucked up really bad," he said, kneeling down to be on my level. "I miss you so much, and I want you back."
"No," I said simply, looking back down at the magazine.
"Didn't you hear me? I said I was sorry," he said more aggressively.
"I heard you. Did you hear me?" I asked, cocking my head to the side. "I said no,"
Without a word, he stood up and walked back into the house. I rolled my eyes and shook my head, looking back down at the magazine and flipping the page, looking at the outfits sprawled on the next page.
I was once again interrupted as the suns warmth left me, and I groaned, slamming the magazine down next to me.
"James, I said—"
"Do you know where I could find Luna Chandler?"
My head snapped up as he spoke and Leati's large frame stood in front of me, a devilish smirk on his face as he stuck his hand out for me. I happily grabbed it and basically jumped into his arms.
"Hey, babygirl," he whispered, setting me back down to my feet.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, peering over my shoulder to see James walking out of the house.
"Well, I missed you," he told me. "And Colby invited me to the dinner tonight, so I thought I'd make sure to be there,"
"Thank God," I sighed, falling into his arms again.
"James, c'mon man," one of James's friends called out. "I don't know why you keep falling for this slut anyways,"
With that, Leati turned around quickly, ready to kill. I grabbed his arm as Colby pranced out of the house.
"What did you just say?" he asked, getting in the guy's face.
"Leati, look at me, not them," I said sternly, sliding my hand into his. "Let Colby take care of it."
"I'm going to kill 'em," he said, shaking his head. "They can't talk about you that way. Not my babygirl,"
"Hey, look at me, I said," I repeated, reaching up to gently grab his face. "We're above them. Their words mean nothing,"
"Ah, James! Don't make me—" Colby started before Leati stopped him.
"No need for that," he told him.
"Just get out of here, man," Colby said sternly, opening his car door for him.
"He'll realize what a beautiful, amazing girl that he had someday. Sucks to be him," Leati said, resting his hand on my shoulder.
