Sonic and Knuckles were fighting Eggman's giant robot for what seemed to be only an hour, but the giant was on the verge of defeat. "Let's take him out for good, Knuckles." Said Sonic. "With pleasure." Replied Knuckles. Knuckles grabbed hold of Sonic and swung him round until he let go. Once Knuckles let go of him, Sonic used his aerial spin dash to finish the giant mecha once and for all. "I'm not going to be defeated again!" shouted Eggman. Without hesitation, Eggman launched one of the mecha's fists at Sonic. It flew right at Sonic and punched him, causing the blue hedgehog to fly right out of Eggman's moon base. "Sonic!" shouted Knuckles. "Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Farewell, Sonic. With you out of the picture, I can finally take over the world." Said Eggman, filled with pride
Meanwhile, Sonic was flying out of control in the darkness of space. Suddenly, he saw a planet that looked a little similar to Earth. He shut his eyes, expecting to crash-land. Some time later, the blue headgehog woke up to see himself in what seemed to be remains of a building. "What is this place?" said Sonic, wondering where he was. Suddenly, he heard growling noises. "Wow, I never knew I was that hungry." Replied Sonic to himself. Then he realized that the growling was that hungry." Replied Sonic to himself. Then he realized that the growling was coming from the tunnel. Quickly, Sonic ran to the other side. He stopped when he saw he was about to run into a bright, golden crystal. "What is this?" said Sonic. But questions would haved to be answered later for the noise was getting closer and closer. Sonic hid behind a pillar to see a group of ugly-looking creatures heading toward the crystal. One of themcame up to the crystal and smashed it. Suddenly, a bright light shone around the room. I t was so bright, Sonic nearly went blind. Then voices filled the room. "Spyro, stop!" said the fist voice. "I can't!" said the second voice. "Get close to me, now!" In about a few seconds, everything was back to normal except that the crystal was shattered and on the floor lay two dragons. One of the ugly creatures walked up to the purple dragon and put a snake around its neck. Sonic immediately knew what was going on and was about to attack when something grabbed him. When the creatures and the two dragons were gone, Sonic tried to find out who stopped him. A figure with a hood over is head appeared. "Who are you and why did you stop me?" asked the confused hedgehog. "Because if you attacked, you would've met the same fate or worse." Answered the stranger. The stranger picked up something from the remains of the crystal. "I was trying to help them." Explained Sonic, annoyed. The stranger drew his sword and pointed it at Sonic's neck. "Helping who?" asked the stranger, as he pulled down his hood, revealing himself to be a cheetah. "Easy with the weapon, will ya! I didn't just land on this planet, so you can threaten me with a sword." Shouted Sonic. "Where are you from?" aked the cheetah, putting his sword down. "Earth." Answered Sonic. "Then, I apolgize for my aggressive actions." Said the cheetah. "We'll save the introductions later. Follow me." With that, Sonic followed the cheetah out of the ruins.
