Robbie was moving boxes of rum when I walked in the back of Shank's. Shank's was a bar that sounded very dangerous but in all honest we've had like two fights and that's it. I've been working here for almost two years and it's getting tiring, I only started bar-tending to get money for college and well I've been here since I graduated last year. I don't plan to be a bartender for the rest of my life but it's hard finding a job in London.
"Jessica can you stop standing there and help move boxes, we have an hour before opening and I can't move all 10 boxes by myself." Robbie grunted as he went to set down the box behind the bar. Robbie is 25, with short shaggy black hair, he was 5'11 and had an attitude on him. He's also my guy best friend, we met two years ago when he had to train me and insistently we hit it off, but that doesn't mean he was easy on me.
"Whatever, you've done it before you can do it again." I said taking off my jacket and walking behind the bar, I ripped open the box and started stacking the rum up on the self. "Besides we all know that one of us unboxes with the other one moves boxes."
He pointed at me. "You are a pain in the ass." he pushed open the door before going in the back to get more boxes. I just shook my head and laughed as put the last bottle of rum on the shelf, we go through almost six bottles every night which is crazy. I broke down the box just as Robbie walked back in with four boxes of other alcohol, I grinned and placed my hands on my hip.
"See you can move all the boxes, what a big boy." I teased him, he flipped me off before heading back to get the rest of the boxes. By the time we were done restocking the shelf it was time to open, Robbie walked over and unlocked the door and of course the first few people in were the waiters that worked here. I tried to hide my giggles as Robbie got onto them.
"Guys how many times do I have to tell you come through the back way and you're supposed to be here ten minutes before we open." He huffed and ushered them inside before coming over and taking his place beside me behind the bar. He looked at me as I tied my buttery blonde hair up into a messy bun. "You ready to do this?" he asked, holding out his fist. I smirked and bumped it.
"Always."

Hours laters and we are making great tips just by do stupid tricks the drunk customers ask us to do, I loved doing them but not as much as Robbie did and since the music was always loud in here Robbie always made his trick match the beat of the song. I was in the middle of making a margarita when Robbie nudged me, I looked over at him as he leaned in to talk to me. "Two guys down at the end of the bar are yours." He said taking the margarita from me and handing it to the woman in front of us, I rolled my eyes as he started flirting with her as i wiped my hands on a rag. I flung the rag over my shoulder and leaned against the bar.
"What can I get you boys?" I hollered
The blonde man looked up from his phone and tucked it away in his suit jacket, I looked both of them over. This was interesting, we never had men come in here in suits this fancy; in fact we never had men come in wearing suits. "I'd like a scotch on the rocks and my partner," his said motioning towards the brunet next to him. "Will have a beer." he had a thick accent, I nodded before turning around and going down by Robbie. I made the blonde man's scotch on the rocks first before reaching under the bar for the beer, I popped the lid off on the edge of the bar before heading back to them.
They were in a heated discussion when I approached. "Listen to me Louis, Helen is retiring and we need to find someone to take her place ASAP and everyone that's been interviewed, he has said no too. I'm at my wits end." the blonde man said
"What are we supposed to do Niall? Just pick random people?" Louis snapped at blonde man, who's name I now know to be Niall.
"How am I supposed to know?!"
I cleared my throat and sat down the drinks, both of them just took them from me and went on with the conversation. I scoffed and crossed my arms over my chest. "You're welcome." I stated, both of them looked at me.
"What?" Niall asked me.
"Oh, you know there's this thing called manners. Your parents normally teach you them when you're younger, when someone gives you something you say this word 'Thank you.' and then I say 'You're Welcome'." I said
"Excuse you?" Louis asked setting down his beer, I scoffed and pointed at him.
"No, excuse you."
Louis chuckled. "Look love, why don't you just turn around and let us watch you walk away while we continue our conversation."
Without thinking my hand shot forward and grabbed his stupid suit jacket. "You better take that back right now." Robbie rushed over and removed my hand from the jerks shirt.
"I'm so sorry, I don't know what's gonna into her." Robbie said as he started walking me away from them, he was whispering things in my ear as i turned around to look at the two men who were sure enough staring at me while talking. Great, I'm probably going to get sued or worst, get this place shut down. Robbie traded me customers and decided it'd be best to take the jerkfaces orders all night, fine by me. Hours later and Robbie nudged me, I looked up to see the two guys are the last two in the bar. "Go get your tip, but be nice." he warned, I mocked him before walking over to the two gentlemen.
I walked over to them and sat there for a few minutes since they did not want to acknowledge me. I cleared my throat. "It's closing time boys."
"We're men." Louis said looking at his phone.
"I don't see men." I said, this caused both of them to look up at each other and smirk before turning to look at me. I placed my hands on my hip and raised my eyebrow at them.
"Tomorrow at 8 o'clock show up here." Niall sternly said setting down a card and money, I watched both of them walk out before picking up the business card. S Enterprises
