Tori wasn't sure if she was dreaming or not, but she definitely didn't want to wake up if she was. Jade was now holding her hand. At first it was just a slight brush of her fingers, but when Tori didn't pull away Jade slowly slipped her hand in Tori's. Gripping it lightly in case Tori wanted to pull away. They had stopped walking and now stood in front of the double doors. Tori wasn't sure what to do next so she slowly started rubbing her thumb across the back of Jades hand. Earning a look from Jade she's never seen before. A look saying she wanted to run, but also that she wanted to stay. Tori watched as the swirling emotions in her eyes faded and Jade squeezed her hand slightly not letting go. Tori gave her a small smile, which she returned before speaking.
"Don't over think it now Vega. Wouldn't want you hurting that pretty brain of yours now would we?" Tori knew something was coming because she could see the fear seep into Jade's eyes. Fear of what Tori wasn't quite sure of. There could be hundreds of reasons for that so she would have to wait until whenever Jade decided to open up. She didn't know when that would be so until then...
"Right, I won't over think anything Jade." Tori squeezed her hand slightly and Jade smiled ever so slightly before letting go of her hand and pushing the doors open.
"We need to get going before Andre thinks we killed each other." Jade stated as she held the doors open for Tori.
"Of course lets go." Tori nodded at Jade holding the door. She didn't want to say thank you, afraid Jade would say something that would shatter the moment they were having. They headed out of the double doors and went towards where Andre was waiting. They walked in silence. Not the uncomfortable kind. The kind where everything felt alright. As they got closer Andre called out to them;
"Hey chicas you ready to get this show on the road?" Andre wondered as he sat on the hood of his yellow Corvette. He had the top down since it was a nice breezy day. It wasn't hot or cold, it was just one of those nice days you wish you could have all the time.
"The what?" Jade asked. Clearly confused on what the boy was trying to say.
"Yeah English please Andre." Tori piped up as she got over to the car.
"Are you guys ready to get out of here to work on our project?" Andre conceded,obviously trying to change things up a bit with how he talked.
"Oh yeah we are or at least I am. Jade you ready?" Tori questioned as she opened the passenger door to get in. Not really waiting for Jade to answer her.
"As ready as I'll ever be. Let's get this thing started." Jade grumbled as she jumped in the back.
They drove for awhile, mostly in silence. Tori wanting to talk to Jade, but knowing better. One it wasn't the best thing to do with Andre being with them. Two because Jade probably didn't really want to talk about it anyway and three even if she did get the courage to talk to her, Jade would probably chew her out. They were on semi good terms now and she didn't want to ruin that, so she just let the wind blow through her hair and watched the scenery. It wasn't much longer until they reached Tori's house. It was normally where they did group projects. It was closer to school this way and it was big enough to fit the entire gang here. Andre pulled into the driveway seeing as no one was home at the moment and turned the car off, before getting out. Both girls following shortly behind him. Tori pulling out her keys to unlock the house and Jade just staring off into the distance. Tori unlocked the door with a loud click and let the others in first. Closing the door behind them as she entered. Plopping down on her couch with a heavy sigh. Looking at both of her friends or semi friend for Jade and told them they could grab something out of the fridge and get comfortable before they started.
"I think I'll take you up on the offer of grabbing something from the fridge, I'm parched." Andre replied as he walked over into her kitchen. Jade didn't say anything just walked over there and grabbed a water bottle before slowly sipping on it.
"So are we going to start this thing or what?" Jade asked as she took another sip of her water.
"Yeah let's get started." Tori responded, getting off the couch to get some paper and pencils. They had to write a skit about falling in love with someone while they were already with someone else. Ironically enough they decided that Andre and Tori would play the part of the couple. Then have Tori fall in love with Jade and try to figure out what she would do. They worked tirelessly for hours on it. Thinking of a bunch of different plots and twists they could have on it and how they were going to perform. Surprisingly Jade was really helpful even though they had planned on doing a kissing scene. It was around midnight when they decided to give it a break and start packing up. It was Friday so they didn't have to get up for class, but they were still getting tired and they could always work on it another day.
"Alright guys I'm gonna head back home. It's getting late. Jade you want me to bring you home?" Andre questioned as he packed up his school stuff.
"No I'm going to stay here with Tori for the night." She stated, lounging back into the couch.
"Alright. Good night you two." Andre picked up his backpack and headed out the door. Soon after he opened it again. Looking at them seriously before speaking; "and before I forget, please don't kill or hurt each other." With that he was back out the door. Jade yelling after him;
"No promises." Before looking over at Tori. "So what are we going to do now that we're alone?"
