It had been three weeks since Jade spent the night at Tori's house. They didn't talk about that night as much as Tori wanted to, but she knew she needed to give Jade space. Of course they've talked since then, but it wasn't ever about anything serious. Mostly just about the project they had to do. They passed of course due to everyone's wonderful acting and because of how well they thought everything out. Although she wasn't sure if Jade kissing her was an act or not. It didn't feel like it to her, but she could never tell with Jade. It felt real to her and even better than the kiss they shared the other night. Tori's lips still tingle whenever she thinks about it. Right now she was leaning against her locker with her eyes closed just daydreaming like she usually does. Class was over and she was just waiting on Trina to take her home since she still didn't have her license. She had slowly started to drift off into another daydream until she heard her name being screamed out by someone.
"Vega!" Jade of course. Who else would only scream her last name? Tori slowly opened her eyes to see a furious Jade standing in front of her. If she wasn't against her locker she would have jumped backwards. She wasn't sure why Jade was so upset, but it was never a good thing.
"Yes Jade?" Tori answered cautiously as she started shifting her feet nervously. Not knowing what Jade wanted from her.
"Why did you tell people we were together?!?! I told you I needed space and time to figure stuff out! I thought I could trust you, but I obviously can't!" Jade was basically yelling in her face at this point. She wanted to back up so she wasn't as loud, but she has no where to go. She wasn't even sure what to say to Jade. She hadn't even told people that Jade stayed the night. The only one who knew was Andre, but he wouldn't say anything because he was terrified of Jade. She needed to figure out who started these rumors before Jade hated her completely for something she didn't even do. First things first is to try and talk some sense into Jade now. Which won't be easy because Jade is glaring daggers at her and she's pretty sure she sees some gleaming pair of scissors in Jades pocket.
"Jade I didn't tell anyone we were together. Hell I didn't even tell them you stayed at my house. You know I wouldn't betray your trust like that. I've never done that. No matter how much you hurt me or made me mad at you. So it's not me." Way to go Vega. Hopefully that will calm her down at least so you can have a decent conversation with her.
"Who else could it have been Vega? You're the only one who knew both of those kisses meant something even a small something." Jade was sure a mess now and Tori wanted to just wrap her arms around her, pull her close and never let go. Jades hair was all over the place, probably because she practically ran here. Jade didn't want Tori to see, but she could tell where the mascara had started to run down her face from crying. Tori didn't mention it though because Jades arms were crossed over her chest and she was slowly backing away from Tori. Tori had one shot left to try and save whatever was left between them. She couldn't screw this up.
"Jade I promise I didn't tell anyone. I'll find out who did this somehow. Just don't walk away from this. We can work it out just trust me." Tori knew she screwed up as soon as the words trust me left her lips. Jade shot her a wounded look before it turned cold.
"That's exactly how this happened Vega. I trusted you and look where it got me." She didn't storm off she just slowly started walking away. Whether she was waiting for Tori to call out to her or for Tori to run up to her. Tori didn't know nor did she care. She needed Jade to stay. It felt like she was missing a piece of herself whenever Jade wasn't around her.
"Jade don't go! Please I need you!" No matter how much she called out to Jade, she just kept walking. She felt horrible. She never wanted to hurt Jade and even though it wasn't her fault she still felt like it was. It took her several more minutes after Jade left to actually come to terms that Jade just basically walked out of her life. She didn't even care if Trina showed up now. She's much rather just stay where she was. Fate wasn't on her side today because soon after Trina appeared. Spouting nonsense about some date she had with some really hot guy in one of her classes. Tori didn't pay attention to what she was saying. Her mind was still on Jade walking away. She didn't ever think she would get that image out of her head. She didn't even know Trina was talking to her again until she started shaking her shoulder.
