after breakfast, namjoon hurried the girls along to his car and buckled them in.

he was in a good mood today for some reason.

he didn't hate the idea of stepping into a daycare as much anymore.

once he arrived he helped his little nieces out of their car seats and took them inside.

"remember to look both sides girls." he reminded and they nodded. the girls looked in both directions before continuing their walk to their daycare.

jimin was already at the front desk and happier than ever to greet them. "hello namjoon, minseo and seoyeon. how are you guys?"

"very well, thank you mr. park and you?" minseo replied and smiled brightly.

"wow such a well mannered little girl, who taught you to speak that way?" he asked and pet her head.

minseo and seoyeon immediately pointed their little fingers at their uncle who towered over them. "uncle joon did, he says he hates bad behavior from little boys and girls. he says it shows how badly their parents raised them." they said.

"oh is that so.. you like kids namjoon?" jimin said and looked up at him.

namjoon didn't catch himself staring at jimin, when he called his name he snapped out of his trance and turned red. "huh what- uh.. sorry i didn't quite catch that.."

"do you like kids?" he repeated

"it's complicated." he answered and laughed awkwardly as he scratched his head.

"well girls hurry on to class, ms. jung is already there waiting for circle time."

the girls nodded and left the two men in awkward silence.

"um.. well goodbye jimin." namjoon said and waved a little.

"oh hold on." jimin said as he ducked behind the desk.

"the girls made this for their parents.. but since they didn't show up they didn't get a chance to give it to them. would you mind taking it with you? i feel bad it's just been sitting here and it breaks my heart to throw it away."

namjoon grabbed it and looked at it. it was a simple drawing of their family, he was even included in it. he smiled down at the picture and nodded. "yeah i'll take it home to them. they've just been working a lot lately."

"that's fine. thank you. hope to see you around some more. you're always welcomed here." jimin said.

"thanks." namjoon bowed before leaving.

he let out a sigh once outside and he felt his heart, it was thumping.

what a weird sensation..

he shook it off and decided to text his friend. he really had nothing to do today other than look after his nieces so why be cooped up at home all day?

he recently had gotten fired from his job due to his clumsiness and the multiple complaints people would give his boss about him. he couldn't help it if he was clumsy, he was just made that way.

but now he knew better than to ever work at a café.
