a proper date.

namjoons heart raced at the idea. everything with jimin had been going so well, so smoothly.

ever since they shared their first kiss at the zoo they had been texting back and forth nonstop like crazed high school lovers.

they had both mutually agreed to go out to eat after jimin was off from work. namjoon was to pick him up right after to which jimin complained saying he'd still be in his work clothes and he'd be all dirty.

namjoon didn't mind and insisted it was okay.

so jimin had no choice but to be complacent and agree with him. he just wanted to pretty himself up for his lovely date, maybe apply some light makeup, do his hair. he wanted to look irresistible, but in reality he didn't have to do that, he already had namjoon wrapped around his finger.

namjoon had actually been spending quite a lot of time at hoseok's place, his florid friend being more than happy to assist namjoon in prepping for his date.

"god i am just SO excited for you two! jimin is a great catch i knew it would work between you two. treat him well he's sensitive—"

"hoseok please you're so embarrassing.. and very loud." he teased as slipped on his pants and ruffled his hair, deciding that the messy hair look was cute and very boyfriend-esque.

"look- let me be excited for my friends! this is a one in a lifetime thing! namjoon you haven't been on a date since—"

"don't bring it up hoseok please. i'd rather not yeah? i'm sorry. it's just touchy. don't really like talking or reminding myself about it."

hoseok tucked his bottom lip between his teeth and nodded. he knew namjoon was upset over the events that unfolded with his previous lover but he didn't know he was still unsettled by it. he knew it was best to drop it, hopefully he'd open up about it and heal.

it wasn't healthy to keep stuff in like that.

"how do i look?"

"if you're trying to get laid in that— eh.. loosen this up. put these earrings in, roll up the sleeves."

"hoseok- im not gonna fuck him on the first date. i.. i-i actually really like him. i don't wanna screw anything up."

"screw him inste-"

"SHUT IT." he took a deep breath and shook his head, sometimes he wondered how he was friends with such a crazy man, so shameless and unapologetically open (and gay) about everything.

namjoon grabbed his wallet along with his keys and phone and headed for the door, sending jimin a quick text that he was on his way and waving to hoseok who was still geeking over namjoon's date with jimin and was proud of the two.

namjoon arrived, hoping very deeply that he would catch a glimpse of his little nieces, he hasn't seen them since the day at the zoo. it's been a few weeks at this point, he's missed the little rascals.
