namjoon walked inside the daycare and was greeted by jimin's frown that soon turned into a smile once he saw namjoon.

"hey what's the matter? you seemed sad just now?" namjoon asked the shorter male.

"i just have a lot on my mind.."

"anything i can help with or do?" namjoon offered.

"no no.. well on second thought. maybe that date we were supposed to go on could help." jimin said cheekily.

namjoon turned dark red and tried to laugh it off but it was just too much. he hid his face behind his hand and nodded softly.

"y-yeah.. definitely.. i was going to ask you when we should go anyways."

"are you free tonight?"

"yes of course i am. send me your address and i'll pick you up later."

lies.

namjoon wasn't free tonight. he had promised he'd look after his nieces.

but he wasn't going to tell jimin that.

"perfect." jimin said and smiled brightly.

he led namjoon down the same hallway with the same paintings and pictures to the girls classroom.

like always the girls greeted their uncle so warmly and squeezed him to death.

"they made another painting today namjoon. they're very talented."

"thank you, i take it upon myself to teach them different skills. i want them to be talented and successful." he boasted about his nieces.

"can you girls go get the paintings you made? show your uncle!" jimin said as he kneeled down to be eye level with the little girls.

they both nodded and went to go search for their masterpieces on the drying rack.

"yeah but this piece is a little concerning.." jimin said quietly. "are they okay?"

"what? yes they're okay. what makes you think otherwise?"

the girls walked up to their uncle and handed them their paintings.

both were visually similar since minseo always had to copy seoyeon.

it was the two girls and around them were two giant black figures fighting.

namjoon inspected the drawing and sighed. "goodness.. i think i know what might be up."

"is it something to do with their.."

"yeah i'm assuming.."

the drawing was a huge contrast from the girls previous paintings. they were usually vibrant and full of unicorns and rainbows in every corner.

this painting was dark and morbid.

"girls come on. i need to get you two home." namjoon said as he held the painting.

seoyeon grabbed namjoons hand and then her sister's, as they walked out.

"i'll see you later jimin. take care yeah?" namjoon said as he turned his head to look back at the shorter male.

"yes of course. goodbye." he waved and melted a little at the sound of namjoon's deep voice.
