namjoon knew he wasn't supposed to be at the daycare center, but he just couldn't help it.

the morning after, he decided to drop by during lunch time while he was showering at hoseok's place.

he knew he needed to take a few risks if he really wanted something good to come out of this, and he was willing to do whatever it took, but a sense of terror washed upon him as he ducked in his car, seeing soohyun getting into the drivers seat in her vehicle to go home.

if she saw him here, he'd be skinned alive.

he sighed as he watched her drive away and he quickly got out of his car, rushing to make it the the entrance, his heart rate picking up as his fingers clasped the door handle, giving it a turn and stepping inside.

"hello may i help you?" a lady asked.

to namjoons dismay, it wasn't jimin but maybe the gods up above did this on purpose to perhaps give the love stricken boy more time to plan out and verify his silly little plan to sweep the shorter male off his feet.

"is jimin here?" he asked, his voice got caught in his throat as he saw the boy walk down from the hallway.

"i'm going out to lun-" jimin ceased his talking as his eyes trailed over to namjoon's. to avoid making another scene he grabbed the taller male and smiled at the lady behind the daycare reception. "i'll be back. just going out for lunch with my dear friend here. i won't take too long, if anything call me."

the lady nodded and with that namjoon was pulled out to jimin's car, the shorter male angrily crossing his arms but in a sense a bit pleased that namjoon had come to see him even with everything that has happened. "why are you here? you're not allowed near your nieces." he inquired as he leaned up against his car, eyeing namjoon dubiously.

"to see none other than you of course." namjoon replied, a small smirk tugging at his plump lips. "but if you really don't wish to see me any longer. i guess i'll be on my wa-"

jimin reached an arm out and placed it on namjoon's shoulder. "don't be like that. i do wish to see you. you just so happened to catch me off guards is all.. i'm afraid i don't have much time to spare you. i have to get lunch and hurry back here. maybe when i'm less busy. i do feel terribly sorry about the prior night.. it wasn't your fault and i was just upset."

"it's alright. don't think too much about it. stay in contact with me. and tell my nieces i love them and miss them and that everything is going to be okay and what doesn't kill them makes them stronger." namjoon said as he remembered all the little sayings and rhymes he had his nieces memorize, he reminisced in the wonderful memories he had created with those little girls in such a short amount of time.

jimin nodded and smiled. he leant in and placed a soft kiss on namjoon's cheek before getting into his car. the kiss knocking namjoon out of his daze, and leaving him looking dumbfounded as he watched the shorter male drive off. he trailed his bony fingers over the slightly moist area on his cheek as his cheeks flushed a ruby shade, he rubbed his cheek, relishing how soft jimin's lips felt even if it was a quick peck.

he walked inside to his vehicle in wonderment, the idea of the small kiss not leaving his thoughts. his stomach bubbling every time he imagined the scene and his heart clenching a little too hard, to the point where it would burst open with overflowing love and affection. he hadn't felt this way in years.

namjoon had another trick up his sleeve. jimin and him had been texting back and forth, both boys infatuated with the idea of each other. namjoon, being a sly little genius decided to do research on where the daycare's field trip was going to be, but he didn't need to do much since he just asked jimin out of curiosity and the boy was happy to oblige and tell him their whereabouts.

the day of the field trip, namjoon prepared himself, making sure he looked presentable yet comfortable since it was at a zoo. he was going to surprise jimin and perhaps see his nieces if he was able to.

the ride to the zoo was about thirty minutes, hoseok offered to drive mainly because he wanted to pick up some hot zoo keepers and have a "wild" time as he said. namjoon couldn't deny his offer because either way, hoseok would still manage to go somehow.

"we meet back here around four alright? that'll give you enough time to be stupid and flirt. don't screw up." namjoon said.

hoseok batted his eyes lashes innocently and nodded. "i'll be good joonie i promise now go get your prince!" he didn't need to say it twice before namjoon bolted inside, having already prepaid for a ticket, he had printed it at home and showed it to the worker who let him in easily.

his nerves began to eat away at him, how in the hell was he going to approach jimin? the shorter male was going to murder him in cold blood but namjoon thought it was worth it, at least he'd die by the hands of the boy who had stolen his heart.

he began to input a message into his phone, hiding behind a kiosk in hopes that jimin wouldn't spot him just yet.

he asked the boy how the zoo trip was so far to which jimin complained saying it was too hot and he already drained his bottle of any possible water, having downed it not too long ago to stay hydrated in the splintering heat.

"well maybe buy another bottle?" his text message read, but as it turned out jimin had left his wallet in the car and wasn't allowed to leave the zoo due to the fact that he had to look over his group of eight children.

"hm.. maybe there's a kiosk or something and you could ask the worker where a water fountain is located?" namjoon tactically replied.

jimin thought that was a great idea and decided to do just that.
