Acxa sighed, placing the tray of food on one of the side tables. She reached for the doorknob to her princes room. She hated how he was so obsessed with this half human and galra hybrid. Now he just stayed in his room sulking. Making everyone do things for him. He didn't even care for the original plans. Acxa nearly punched the door. She breathed in deeply and let it out.

"He'll go back to normal, Acxa. Everything will be fine." She slowly opened the door, picking the tray back up as she entered. "Prince Lotor." She set the tray on a cart near the large bed. The room was dim with a dark purple touch. "I've brought your meal." There was a slight shuffle of blankets.

"I don't want it." Lotor raised up his skinny arm, motioning her to leave. Acxa sighed. She felt anger bubbling up inside her.

"You have to. You're letting yourself go, your highness." The curtain hiding the inside of the bed flew to the side. Lotor glared up at Acxa. His once beautiful face now nearly just bones. His cheeks were hollow as well as his eyes that sunk back with heavy bags underneath them.

"I don't need to do anything you hear me?" Acxa nodded. She took the tray in her hands.

"Sorry, sir." She bowed and made her way back out. Lotor laid back down, hiding his face with his arm.

"My little hybrid." He glanced down at the huge scar on his abdomen. It was all bumpy and not fully healed yet. It still throbbed every time he would move even the slightest. "And the blue paladin.!" He slammed his fist against one of the poles of the bed. Even though it made his body ache, he shook it off. " He thinks those children are his when it's clear I am the true father! Next time I see him, I'll make sure he suffers just like I did!" Lotor laughed, holding his head. "That's it." He chuckled and looked up at the top of his canopy bed. "I'll take away the things he holds dear to his heart. Starting with my little boy..."

Ash smiled wide as he marked off another day on his calendar. He threw the marker on the bed.

"Three more days till I'm finally eleven!" He said cheerfully, jumping on the bed. Lilith was busy tying her shoes.

"Dad said not to jump on the bed." Ash frowned, jumping off the bed and sliding on his own shoes.

"You're such a party pooper. And dad won't find out. He's with mom right now."

"He would if I tell him." The two turned their heads. In the doorway was their uncle Shiro. He smiled at them. Even with his light beard and scarred up face, the two loved him.

"Uncle Shiro!" They both ran over to him, giving him a big hug.

"It's been so long!" Lilith smiled.

"Did you bring back any souvenirs?" Ash looked up at him. Shiro reached into his pocket, pulling out two things wrapped in a cloth.

"I don't think your parents would agree, but I think it's time you learned how to fight." He undid the cloths, revealing two daggers. One with a ruby in its handle and the other with a emerald. He handed them to Lilith and Ash.

"So cool!" Ash examined it. Moving it back and forth from both his hands. "Does this mean you're gonna train us?" Shiro nodded, tucking the cloth back in his pocket.

"Of course! I was wanting to start today." The two youngsters nodded fiercely.

"Yes yes yes!" Lilith's smile widened. She watched her younger brother slice the air with his dagger, nearly tripping over himself. Shiro chuckled.

"Alright, Alright. Hand me your daggers. Looks like I'll need to buy some holders." Lilith handed over her ruby dagger. Ash not wanting to let go of his.

"Come on, uncle Shiro." He begged. Shiro held out his hand for the dagger.

"I know. But I don't want you guys getting hurt or accidentally hurting another." Ash sighed, handing it over. Shiro held the two daggers. "I'll polish them for you guys. They'll be nice and shiny for you later today." Ash smiled and nodded.

"Thanks again Uncle Shiro." Lilith and Ash both hugged Shiro. Shiro wrapping his arms around them.

"Same here." They let go of each other. "Now, how's your mother doing? I've been wanting to see him." The three of them walked out and down the hall. On the way Shiro talked a bit about his journey with the rebels. Lilith and Ash especially adored their uncle Shiro the most. He always had a new story to tell of where he has been. And of course, each one of them was amazing. To the two, the stories would never get old.
