Ji yeon's P.O.V.
I was trying to get what was going on.
I ran into the kitchen to check on grandma, but I barely saw her from the smoke, I only heard her coughing."Grandma?!" i called out for her, thankfully, I got a reply.
"Please, leave, dear.." Between her words were coughs.
I can't leave her..
I ran inside, holding my breath, until I saw my grandma, and instantly dragged her out of the kitchen.
I tried closing the kitchen door, but then the fire just burst through it.
Am I going to die?
I looked down at my grandma, she stopped coughing.
It can't be...
I heard screaming voices coming from downstairs.
I wanted to call someone to help us, but I already saw the firemen's car approach through the window.
I dragged my grandma towards the door, but before I knew it, I was surrounded by flames.
Am I going to die?
I asked myself again.
Tears rolled down my face.
Staring at my lifeless grandma in my arms.
No,no,no...
I was trying to stay strong.
I only had one option.
To jump out of that window...
I heard my phone ring in my bag.
If I try to answer, my grandma could drop on the floor and burn.
I can't let you die..
I heard some firemen's voices from outside.
They were searching for people.
I called out for them.
The flames were only getting closer.
I could sense my body getting heated.
The smoke was choking me.
I was dying..
I felt like my soul was going to leave my body.
"Please...anyone....help.."
I tried to call out for help with all the life left in me.It was of no point , I was dying..
Just as I turned around, I saw a spot that was safe from fire, the areas around it got burnt but maybe if I was careful enough I could drag grandma out of here.
I tried doing that, but it was hard
I had to leave her.
I tried testing her heartbeats again.
I felt something...
Then I shook the ideas of letting her go and just dragged her towards the front door.
But it was getting late..
Nobody came here to save us.
"Help..."
I called again, coughing vigorously from all the smoke I breathed in.
I tried to get myself out of here, but it seemed like the entire building is on fire.
I wondered what was the use of the fire men at this point.
I can't die now...
But I guess I was dying..
I felt the fire approach me and my grandma.
Until it caught my dress, I didn't even have any life left to kick it off me, but I tried my best, I did what my parents taught me.
I did everything I could, but after I got the fire off me, I realized something...
I lost grandma...
I had no time to cry over her, I thought of bringing her with me so she could at least get buried properly but I knew I would die too if I did that.
For my brother I tried to live.
He was the only family I had here, and so was I to him.
I had to somehow escape.
But I couldn't...
The fire has already caught me..
So I sat down, waiting for my life to end...
Crying, hoping that someone will take care of my brother..

Moments after that horrible incident.
The firemen got inside the apartment once more to check for any dead bodies that they failed to save.
They found the body of an old lady, and another of a man.
Although some people claimed to have seen a young woman along with the old lady, there were no traces of her.
Everything that could show her identity was burnt down too.
The police investigated her disappearance but their results wouldn't lead to anything.
She could have escaped but them maybe someone saw her.
Nobody knew where did she go to.
All they saw, was a glass globe playing a lovely tone, next to a half burnt letter sitting right on her desk.
