Authors POV:
The riders were in their own huts attempting to gets some sleep. However that's easier said then done, it's not very easy sleeping with a volcano rumbling constantly. Astrid, however, was not in her own hut, she was spending the night at her boyfriend's hut, Hiccup. The said Hofferson hasn't gotten a good night sleep in a while because she's been up training, and had caused her to be exhausted the next morning, and Hiccup had noticed, so he insisted that he slept in his hut so she could sleep, but that wasn't the only reason. After the battle with the dragon hunters and Astrid having her axe to her neck, Hiccup had grown very protective of her, well even more then usual.
Hiccups POV
Astrid was spending the night in my hut and I really wanted her to get a good night sleep but it was impossible with all the rumbling. But something seemed off tonight, it seemed more intense. Even though I hated to do this I needed to gather the riders including the exhausted Astrid, which I did not want to do.
"Astrid," I whispered gently to her, she looked so peaceful, "Milady, we need to check out the edge, somethings different." She then opened those sleepy, ocean blue eyes of hers.
Astrid POV:
I woke up to someone shaking my shoulder "Milady, we need to check out the edge somethings different." It was Hiccup. I slowly opened my eyes, "k" I barley said, I was just really tired.
Authors POV:
Astrid slowly and shakily got out of bed, while Hiccup bent down next to her, took her smaller hands in his, and helped her up. She stumbled a bit when she was up, so Hiccup put his arm round her and landed on her arm, securing her. "Astrid, are you ok, you don't seem yourself?" " Yeah, but I'm a bit dizzy and my leg and head kinda hurts." Astrid said. "Promise you'll tell me if it gets worst." He kissed her on the head. "I will" Astrid said. Hiccup kissed her on the cheek before helping her walk out of the house and together they went to get the other riders to check out the edge.
