Astrids POV
"I'll be fine." I told Hiccup. He kissed my head, got up and left to get to the edge. I gave Garff some water and waited with him and stormfly.
Time skip
I heard something move from behind me, I turned round to find a dragon hunter with a cross bow and arrows. " 'Ello little lady." And with that he shot the arrow. It was too quick for me and it hit me in the side. "Aghhhh" I screamed in pain. He shot another and it went in my leg. I breathed heavily. As he walked passes me and gave me a kick to the head making be loose my consciousness. Stormfly had already been hit with dragon root so she was out. I layed down on my back gazing at the sky, when darkness slowly consumed me.
Hiccups POV
I went back to Melody Island cause Astrid wasn't back yet. "Astrid?" I called I couldn't find her or Garff. "Um Astrid? Where are you?" I turned the corner to find Astrid passed out on the ground with two arrows in her leg and side. "Astrid!" I ran over to her and caressed her face. "Oh babe, what happened?" I picked her up and layed her on my lap. "Hiccup?" She opened her eyes. "I'm here, what happened?" "Dragon hunter, he shot me then kicked me in the head." "Ok I'm gonna pull the arrows out ready. 3, 2, 1!" "Owww!" Astrid screamed. I wrapped her leg and arm up, as well as her head cause it was bruising and picked her up and carried her to toothless. "Come on let's head home." Toothless flew up with stormfly in his class. We went home where I then layed Astrid down and told her to rest.
"It's gonna be ok." I told her, then she fell asleep.
