(I'VE ALTERED THE STORY SO IT WOULDN'T SEEM WEIRD AND INCEST-LIKE! Ex. Zeus, Persephone's Father, seeks courtship with her. Like, EW! So, I've added my own twist so I wouldn't be cringing for six years :)

~The Story of Zane and Nana~

As a child, Nana lived amongst the forest as her mother did when she was her age. She bonded with the life in it and the beauties of its' nature everyday. This would earn her the title of Goddess of the Spring It wasn't until her mother spoke to her about the dangerous gods of Olympus and convinced her to hide away with her. Whilst many men yearned for her love, one in particular stood out amongst the rest.

Out of the three brother gods, Garroth was the most handsome, as the king of gods, which made him irresistible to many mortal girls; yet Nana found no beauty in him. Vylad was uninterested, he was in involved in the affairs of the oceans he ruled. Finally, there was Zane, ruler of the underworld. He was barely seen as a suitable god for such a beautiful mortal and was ridiculed whenever it came to godly affairs.

But, it would all change one day, in a faithful encounter. After his brother, Garroth, demanded Zane take her to him so she could meet them, Zane found himself do it reluctantly. He hated doing his brother's business for his lousy intentions, anyways. So, as he went on his dark, silvery chariot as the fires of hell swooped under it. He wore his black, obsidian armor that glistened with black flames and a sharp-edged head-plate to cover his face. His long, raven hair was tied up into a bun as he mounted the chariot and put on the head plate, commanding the undead horses to pull the chariot up to the meadows of Corinth.

Just as the fires of the underworld boosted his chariot into the sky, a large, purple portal opened up, revealing the sickening light of the mortal world. He entered the portal, his horses stopping and chewing on some flowers in the meadow as he dismounted the chariot, looking for the beloved Nana. His pale skin and piercing blue eyes saw through every tree or thicket in the meadow as he searched for the girl. Just as he was about to give up, he spotted her light pink hair.

She was sitting next to a river with lilly-pads and fish swimming through it, admiring the way life coarsed through the water. She was wearing her hair down in tangles, with flowers finding their way into it as they blew in the wind. She was wearing a simple white gown with a sweet-heart neck line, the white catching Zane's eyes. She was weaving something in her fingers as she heard the heavy metal come towards her. She finished weaving a flower crown and put it on her head, standing up and sighing.

"Just because i'm alone and my mother is not present does not mean thou may try to develop a courtship with-."

She stopped when she saw his armor and pale skin. She knew it was Hades, the god of the underworld. She instantly kneeled and apologized with a quick mumble.

"No need, Nana. Though, I'm not looking for your courtship. My brother is."

He spoke, intoxicated in the way she looked and the way she breathed in the scent of nature around her. She looked up, a little glint of happiness in her eyes.

"Well, regarding your history with him as foretold by the oracles, you wouldn't mind if I declined, right?"

She asked, walking towards him slowly with a snow-white flower in her hand. She too was in a trance of the beauty of the man infront of her. His whole look contrasted her. She was the light and he was the darkness. His piercing blue eyes shone in the sun's beams as he stared into her amber eyes, glistening alike the fires burning in their hearts.

"O-Of course. I'm sorry for disturbing your time, mortal. I must return to my duties-."

He was speaking when she touched his chin, admiring his expressions whenever she moved in any sort of way.

"No, It's nothing too important anyways."

She spoke, her voice hushing to a whisper as she removed her hand from his face and returned to admiring the river. He felt his heart burn in the sight of her as she sat down once again and moved her hand in the rushing stream. Zane decided to come and sit next to her, watching the life he condemned give enjoyment to his beloved. He felt like Reese's love arrows impaled him as he stared into her beautiful eyes.

After that day, he visited her in the meadow once a day, admiring the flowers and the animals who lived in the meadows around her home. Whenever her mother would call for her, he'd have to leave, for the Goddess of Harvest would report him to Garroth, who would punish him immediately. As he visited her for weeks upon weeks, they fell more and more in love. Two opposites living in opposite worlds couldn't be more in-love then those two.

So, one day, as he went to admire the stream in the winter, a thunderstorm came, signalling the appearance of Garroth. He'd shoot down lightning bolts upon the land and scare off many mortals with his electrifying bolts. As the thunderstorm came closer and Zane grew more worried for his lover, he decided to do the unthinkable.

So, as she stretched her arm out to touch a water-lily, he touched her hand, causing her to go unconscious. He felt terrible for trying to acquire her for Garroth at first, so he took her for himself. Despite her mother's worry for her child, Zane brought her down to the underworld to rule with him, to confirm their love. All she needed to do was consume some pomegranate seeds, and she would be his. As she awoke to see Zane attending to the dead, Nana panicked and started to look around at the death around her.

Her mortal light shone in contrast to the darkness of hell, bringing forth attention from the dead persons around her. They were driven to her light, scaring her more and more as the reach out for her, until their King commanded them not to. He spoke, his voice coarse and deep, almost demonic-like.

"Leave the mortal being. She will be your ruler alongside me, your King."

She looked up at Zane with twinkling eyes as he spoke, contrasting his soft and quiet voice she was attracted to. As she stared at him in awe, he went back to work with the dead.

"Z-Zane, why am I here..?"

She asked, her voice quivering slightly at the coldness of the place she was in and how he looked. His blue eyes were replaced with jagged red ones, his hair being let down as it trailed down his back and he wore a mask to cover his face.

"O-Oh, well, this is the underworld, the place I want you to rule.. with me."

He spoke normally, his tone a bit casual, like he's done this before. While she kept staring at him, he quickly shifted back to his old self, the one who visited her everyday in the meadows.

"I apologize my love. No need to be intimidated."

He walked towards her, putting his hand on her jaw and sighing.

"You're going to ask for my courtship then."

She spoke, a tinge of hope in her voice.

"Yes. As the king of the underworld and all things deceased, I ask you, my beloved, to be my wife and queen of the underworld."

He removed his hand from her face and held it out for her to take, for she was still laying down. She beamed, grabbing his hand and nodding enthusiastically. This made Zane's face redden with happiness as he lifted her up and twirled her around, the two's laughs rumbling through the underworld.

"Thank heavens I found you."

"Thank heavens, I love you."
