The chamber had been filled with laughter, joyful cries, and the clinks of wine glasses after Leia Organa, General and overall leader of the Resistance, and Miscellin Pladilia, General and overall leader of an organization known as the Independency, had signed off on a rather intriguing treaty that would combine their troops in order to bring peace to the Galaxy.

Although, before the tale begins, an explanation is in order. The bemusing nature of this writing has most likely lost many people's attention and reverence to this story.

To begin this harangue, the Independency had been an organization for many years, starting when our dearest main character was only two years of age. "What is the Independency?" some ask. To answer, it is a group with the most highly motivated and trained soldiers, mechanics, engineers, mathematicians, scientists, leaders, and many, many more who are dedicated to acquiring peace in the Galaxy. Even with one million people and aliens(and the number rising everyday), it is not very well-known; though, Miscellin prefers to keep it that way.

Independents are loyal, so loyal that no one could comprehend the amount of loyalty they have. They do have their own opinions and beliefs, but they devote to their leader(whoever it may be). They are so loyal and devoted, they would follow their leader past the boundaries of the universe! This is why none dared to argue with Miscellin when she decided to join the Resistance: they believed what she was doing was right. And, perhaps they were slightly intimidated as well. Miscellin was known for her extreme ways...though perhaps 'extreme' is not quite the word...passionate is a more adequate word.

Yes, Miscellin had indeed agreed to join the Resistance and her troops willingly followed, but of course, just as in any cliché story, there was a...slight complication. Before the Independents had sided with the Resistance, they had an alliance with the dreaded First Order.

Initially, Miscellin had seen no wrongdoing being committed when she had sided with this strange new Empire. After all, they had similar beliefs to what she did, their army was strong and well-trained, and the credits that were delivered to her bank account after the alliance were quite a bit more than sufficient. What reason did she have to refuse such a beneficial alliance with the First Order? None! Miscellin believed the rebels had an awful way of ruling anyways. She had wondered how the Resistance could even call their form of government a 'republic' when it was only Leia making the decisions! The rebel scum had no right to call Kylo Ren a tyrant and a dictator when Leia was practically the same thing.

While Miscellin and her troops did join the First Order, Miscellin couldn't help but attempt in convincing General Armitage Hux to see things from her point of view, which was that they needed a democracy. Miscellin desired to have three branches of government that could all execute orders, but these orders were limited and each branch of government limited the other. Miscellin's council was something like that. While Miscellin was the leader, she could only give certain orders and they had to be approved by six of the council members, which was half of the council. No matter how hard she tried, Miscellin could not get her council to side with her on the idea of a true democracy. They liked the form of government that they had now!

Since she couldn't get the council to agree with her, she was persistent in pestering Armitage. Armitage was a general, he had almost complete control over the army, so he did have quite a bit of power and authority, meaning he could make many decisions without the approval of everyone. Each time Miscellin approached Armitage with the idea of a democracy, she only obtained the same answer. "General Pladilia," Hux would address her. "I have already given you my thoughts on this little matter of 'democracy' and my answer is still no."

Day after day, Miscellin would continue to exhort her opinion to no apparent end, until Hux had finally had enough of this silly and fruitless idea. Hux didn't think a democracy would be any fun, he rather enjoyed ruling and having all the power he desired.
