"R-Rose, you look...you look-"
"Good? I fucking know," Wenjun looked at her, wiping a fake tear from his cheek. "She looks like a goddess."
"Stop over exaggerating," Qiang blushed and noticed Tzuyu glaring at her with her arms crossed over her chest. "Anyways, let's get going, yeah?"
The four of them got into Wenjun's car, Qiang sat in the passenger seat beside Wenjun while Zhengting and Tzuyu sat in the backseat. The car was filled with music, but it didn't stop the awkwardness surrounding them. Through out the car ride, Zhengting kept stealing glances at Qiang who was staring out the window.
It was weird for him to see her that way since she was always dressed in either the school uniform or a t-shirt, pants or sweats. She always did her hair, but she never done her makeup.
She looks pretty, Zhengting thought, but frowned. She looked beautiful all the time though. She doesn't need makeup.
"Babe," Tzuyu patted his arm after he had began to think deeper about the whole thing and he hadn't realized they were at Junhui and Minghao's house.
Wenjun and Qiang were getting out of the car and the two other teens quickly followed after. Music was blaring through the cool air and cheers from the house were echoing down the streets.
"No drinking."
"Yeah, yeah. We know, Ting-ge," Wenjun waved off as the group followed him inside the house. Heat hit them and the air felt sticky with all the people jumping around, laughing, dancing, and doing all kinds of things. Wenjun took hold of Qiang's hand and helped her through the crowds of people.
"Wenjun," he heard someone call and saw Zeren waving him over where there were some people hanging out around a table. Wenjun smiled and nodded over before pulling Qiang over to him, when they arrived he released her hand and made sure she was okay.
"Is the whole school here or what," Wenjun laughed looking over the crowd of people, but Zeren was staring at Qiang.
"J-Jiejie," he stuttered when Zhengting and Tzuyu popped out of the seat of people.
"Hey," Qiang said, shyly. Her cheeks were slightly red and Zeren shook his head in disbelief.
"You...you look nice."
"She's going to get a lot of that tonight," Wenjun grinned, ruffling her hair causing her to pout at him. "She's always pretty though so stop with that!"
"Y-Yeah, sorry," Zeren muttered just as Chengcheng and Justin came over with drinks. They too were shocked to see Qiang how she was and everyone knew anyone who saw her would be shocked.
"I said no-"
"It's water, Mother Ting," Quanzhe spoke swooshing the liquid around in his cup. "No need to worry."
"Mhmm," Xinchun nodded his head with water in his mouth. Zhengting watched as Qiang brought her red cup to her lips and took a drink of water.
She swallowed then opened her mouth to confirm to him it was water, but a boy came up to her.
"Hey, you wanna dance?"
"She's off limits," Wenjun glared at the guy and snaked his arm around Qiang's waist then pulled her against him. His eyes looking at the guy, sending daggers.
"S-Sorry, man," the guy stuttered before walking off. When the guy was out of sight, Wenjun released Qiang and took a step away.
"Why'd you-"
"You should save a dance for Junhui, don't you think," he raised a dark eyebrow before taking a sip of his water. Zhengting doubted that was the reason, Wenjun and him were always protective of Qiang. They were her best friends after all.
"Baby," Tzuyu said, grabbing onto his arm before pulling him. "Let's go dance!"
He didn't get to decline because she pulled him into the crowd of sweaty people. Qiang watched until she could no longer see the boy she was in love with.
"He's a dumbass," Wenjun sighed just as a certain someone showed up.
"Rose!"
