Chapter 5-oh...

AVA'S POV

Last lesson dragged on forever. When it finally finishes, I run to my tutor room where I meet Red and Ems everyday after school. We all rush to the road outside school where Ashton is waiting to take us to my house, so I can get ready for my date.

The ride home was kind of awkward. I sit in the front and the other two sit in the back.

"So, um... how are you Red?" Ashton asks.

"Fine thanks..." Red answers, they both like each other but are too afraid to say.

"I'm amazing thanks for asking Ash!" Emily says sarcastically.

"Good, good..." Ashton says, in his own world of Red as he is oblivious to Emily's sarcasm. I see him ocasionally glance at Red through the mirror above his head.

"ASHTON! I scream at him.

"WHAT?!" he swerves and speeds up.

"STOP!" he stops abruptly as I say this.

"FOCUS ON THE ROAD, NOT AT RED!" he starts blushing.

"Wait, what??" Red says confused.

"Don't worry!" Ash says then awkwardly laughs and starts to drive home.

We're then left in silence as I smirk...

When we arrived back at my house, Red, Emily and I run upstairs for me to get ready. I hop in the shower and wash my hair, but when I get back the other two have put my outfit on my bed.

"Guys! I already had an idea!!" I protest.

"Your idea was crap..." Red moans.

"This is better." Emily assures me.

They picked out my light, high-wasted shorts, white strapped top, white shirt, smiley face cardigan and my black lace up boots.

"Fine! I admit it was better than my idea..." I sigh in my defeat.

The just laugh. I put deodorant on, get in my outfit and Emily does my hair while Red re-does my mascara and lip-stick. Emily puts my front hair up with hair pins.

"I've done the make-up!" Red shouts in my ears.

"And I've done the hair." Emily replies. I look at the clock.

"We have another 2 hours left!" I moan.

"I have an idea..." Emily says and waves her hand for Red to come.

"We'll be back in a few!" Emily shouts as they leave my room.

What was that about?

"We're back!" I hear Emily shout and her and Red run up the stairs. They run in my room with a plastic bag.

"What is in that bag?!" I ask. They both look pleased with themselves.

"Hair dye!!" Red shouts.

"But I like my hair colour..." I mummer.

"We're gonna dye your ends!" Red says making it sound like I'm being stupid.

"Ok..." I mumble.

"Yay!!" they both scream.

"Wow, Ava you look beautiful..." Ash says breathless as I walk downstairs.

"Thanks Ash!" I reply. Soon after, the girls come down the stairs.

"You like Ash?" Emily asks.

"Yeah, she looks amazing! Who did her bright purple ends?" he asks.

"The girls did!" I reply.

"Good work! Now let's go." he says motioning towards the open front door.

The girls scurry out and Ash pulls me into a hug before walking towards the car and locking the front door.

ASH'S POV

On the way we drop Red and Emily off at Em's house, pick Mathew up and drive to Michael's house.

"Hey Ash, can me and Mathew just go post something over at the post office?" Ava asks.

"Sure, the number is 62 ok?" I reply.

"Ok, c'mon Mat..." she says.

"See ya Ashton." Mathew says before Ava pulls him by his hands.

I wave and walk up some steps to Michael's front door. I ring the door bell and soon after Michael comes to answer the door.

"Green I see..." I'm talking about his hair colour.

"Yep! being Eco this week." he replies while closing the door. I've been here millions of times before for band practise. I walk to the living room to see Cal and Luke on their phones.

"I see you guys are your sociable selves!" I moan at them. They're probably on twitter or Instagram.

They mumble what I think is a yes. When Michael comes in, he sits down and the other two get off their phones.

"Guys, I have something to say..." Luke says biting his lip.

"Yeah." Cal says waiting for him to say what he wants to say.

"Well as you know, I moved science class and I met this girl... I think I have a crush on her..."

"What?! We're best friends Luke! Why didn't you say anything?!" Callum shouts.

"Wait, what's her name?" Michael asks suspiciously.

"Avril? Or something like that, but she has two friends, one ginger, one brown, she has the most amazing eyes and her hair is purple..." Luke says in one big breath.

Did I hear him correctly? Purple hair, two friends ginger and brown haired?

"Ava?" I let out trying to connect the dots.

"YES!! How did you know?" Luke looks at me astonished. I focus on a spot on the wall.

"That's my sister..." I realise now.

"Oh... well, she's really hot..." Luke replies.

"She has a boyfriend..." I stutter.

"Oh..." Luke looks embarrassed and shocked. Then the doorbell goes.

I gulp.

"That's her with her boyfriend..." I look at Luke disgusted.

"Um... we'll get that won't we Cal?" Michael replies. "Um, yeah!" Michael pulls Cal away.

"We've got the same last name!! Irwin!" I scream at him.

"No one said her full na-" But he's cut off by Ava and Mathew walking in.

"Hi Asht-" Ava cuts herself off when she looks around to see Luke.

She replies by,

"Oh..."
