-Valorie-
"So, admit it—rainbow ice cream is a hundred times better than your chocolate fudge/french vanilla/cookie dough combo thing." Nick said, walking backwards as they exited the ice cream store.
"Rainbow ice cream is literally just vanilla ice cream with food dye," Valorie argued. "At least what I have is, like, three different flavors."
"But it's the thought that counts," Kat licked the spoon that was in her mouth. "I'll side with Nick on this; rainbow ice cream is a hundred times better than regular vanilla ice cream. At the very least, it's aesthetically pleasing."
"I doubt you know what that word means," Valorie said, laughing at Kat trying to lick the bottom of the ice cream container, "seeing that you pronounced it wrong."
"Blah," Kat stuck her rainbow-colored tongue out at her friends. "Ooh!" She looked over the railing, down to the floor below them. "That's cool! I didn't know that human structures worked like that!"
"What?" Valorie glanced at where Kat was pointing, and grabbed the noirette away from the railing. "That's not a human structure."
"Uh oh." Maggie muttered. "Hey, Valorie? That plan you were talking about... are we doing that, or should we run away?"
Nick grimaced at the frozen fountain of water. "I vote on probably hiding first. There's a lot of hostility around there, but also fear. I think a stampede might happen soon, so let's just get somewhere safe first."
"Great," Allie nodded, dragging them into the girls restroom.
"This is where you chose?" Nick gave his twin an exasperated look. "If you don't recall, I'm male."
"We were all tiny baby eggs once." Allie replied, "It doesn't matter."
"Why do humans care so much about gender and such?" Kat asked, "That's stupid. Also, why are there only two genders for restrooms? I read that there are multiple genders that exist, like, more than two."
"I'm not answering that right now," Valorie pulled them in and shutting the door, ignoring Nick's flabbergasted expression as he hid his face from the interior of the lavatory.
A few second later, rumbling echoed through the edifice from the 'stampede' of humans running down the hallways
"Hopefully no one gets hurt." Maggie said, taking a quick look outside door. "All clear."
"Finally," Valorie muttered, absentmindedly touching her necklace. "Let's go,"
They carefully walked out of the restroom, watching for the person that had been affected by Valimor. Suddenly, a flash of light from the floor below distracted them.
"There!" Allie whispered, pointing down to the first floor, "Everyone down!"
They all fell to the floor, as a bright beam of blue flew past them, freezing the clothing display behind them.
"I think it's her," Maggie pointed to the woman stalking towards a little girl. "We need to save the kid."
"Allie," Valorie hissed, glancing to the left. "Vending machine."
Allie followed her gaze, then her eyes widened, "This is going to be epic!" She pointed a finger towards the Dasani Water dispenser, narrowing her eyes before snapping her fingers.
There was a buzz heard in the air before the machine started firing bottles rapidly. The woman's eyes widened before getting hit square on the nose with the projectile, and the water sprayed all over her face and clothes.
