~Kat~
Once Lucy had regained consciousness and they'd all situated themselves into a discussion circle within Valorie's room, Kat stood up and paced around them.
"Aliens are real," she began. "Evidence? Well—" she shifted her features into Valorie's spitting image. "I think this is proof enough."
Valorie stiffened beside her, "Okay, change back before I spontaneously combust."
"Ooh! Blood!" Kat said with a devilish gleam in her eye.
"That is extremely strange..." Allie shuddered. "Seeing Valorie's features smile like that..."
"Anyways," Kat turned back into herself. "I can shift into anyone I want," Kat turned into Lucy, the blonde girl letting out a squeak. "And any thing." Kat morphed into Schist, jumping onto Valorie's lap in her cat form.
Her dark-haired friend picked her up and scratched Schist behind her ears. "This is so incredibly impossible... there isn't any logical explanation."
"Exactly," Maggie agreed. "Any logical explanations."
Nick stared at the ground. "I can't believe that I have powers..."
"Right," Schist turned back into Kat. "So... based on your recollections of today," Kat walked to the center of the circle. "Here's my verdict. The Valimor that you three found on your hiking trip must have messed with your earthling DNA. It gave the four of you Eliyrian powers.
"Valorie received a form of photokinesis slash umbrakinesis," Kat rolled her eyes, "It's idiotic that they've opted to name them different things... those two cannot exist without the other, therefore it is the same thing." She paused, "Which is ironic, since you've always went around saying how grey you are."
Valorie averted her eyes sheepishly, looking out the window.
"Cody received some form of enhanced senses, reducing his reaction time to inhuman speeds," she then added, "which would explain why he won the dodgeball tournament."
"I have spidey senses!" Cody exclaimed, leaping up. "Cool!" He cringed, clearing his throat, "I mean, that's interesting."
"What do you mean interesting?!" Lucy demanded. "So the only reason this weirdo won was because he cheated using some magical space rock? What even? I demand a rematch!" She huffed. "And turn off your powers, Spidey-boy!"
Cody took a sudden interest in the fluffy grey rug they were seated on.
"Allie's a technopath," Kat said rousingly. "It's pretty self-explanatory since the entire computer room now needs a recalibration."
Allie laughed nervously, "But it's not my fault. Everything I was thinking just, like, appeared on the smart board. Then all the desktops just started pixelating... it was awesome!"
"Right..." Nick scowled. "And when I went to print out stuff later that day for this super important assignment, guess what I got instead of maps of the United States?"
"What?" Kat egged.
"I got pictures of..." Nick shook his head, "I'm not even going to say it out loud."
"What was it?" Maggie asked in curiosity.
"Let's just say that it was a good thing it was pixelated." Nick said. "I will never be able to unsee it." He glanced at his sister, "There are some things about you that I never want to know."
Kat raised an eyebrow at Allie. "Oh dear,"
"What?" She said defensively. "It's not like it was anything R-Rated... at least I don't think it was..." she eyed her brother. "What was it?"
