"Your majesty?" The green helmet knight called making it's way into the room where the king was supposed to be a while back until the catastrophe took place, his search stopped when he heard the chattering of four female voices locked into a room, also nearby. Luckily, the door wasn't locked, so it didn't take him long to open it making the chattering stop. "Ladies? Is everyone okay? Did the king leave you here?"

In the small room, four women in dresses of different color each sat next to each other. One lady had ginger hair and red bright dress, one had a darker skin color and olive colored attire, another one with bright blonde hair with a blue gown, and finally one with an orange dress and purple hair, her face being covered by it.

Vermont took off his helmet to reveal his combed black hair and darkish skin color. "Where is the king?"

"He said he would be locking down the gates." shrugged the red gown princess, "Maybe he is somewhere around the drawbridge by now."

"I just want go back to my lounge!" The blue dress princess bawled out covering her face with her hands. "I thought this whole situation was over!"

"They know we are too pretty for them." That's why they try to take us the harsh way!"

"But It's not our fault!" sniffled the blonde lady.

"It is ours for being too good for them!"

Before another word was said, a rapid pace of heavy footsteps were heard approaching the room where everyone was.
"Oh thank the lord, my sweethearts are okay!" The king exclaimed as he took gasping breaths at the verge of collapsing, leaning onto a wall. "This went out of my hands, and I'm very sorry that you had to witness this mess, and my brave warriors... I apologize for-"

"Sir..." Vermont interrupted the king, "This is our duty, however this... We thought it was a minor-"

"Didn't we all?" Asked the red gown lady crossing her arms, "We thought the four of you got rid of them by now."

"Rose!" growled the olive gown damsel at her sister, "They are just doing their job! Did you hear dad?! He said it was out of his hands!"

"Ooooh now Melissa's defending her Prince charming! Isn't that adorable?"

"What?! I am not sugarcoating, I-I'm just being honest here!"

Vermont shook his head. "There's no time for arguing now, we have to get you to a safe place, the castle is held under attack by the enemy!"

"Hey... I don't see them anymore!" exclaimed the blue princess as she pointed at an opened crack nearby, "Did they retreat?"

Walking slowly towards the small aperture she was next to, Vermont peeked through it. In fact, no sign of a foe at all, only cheering coming from the villagers and smoke floating up within the air, however he noticed a figure lying on the floor groaning in pain. Next to it a lady and a little kid lending a hand.

"Blizzard!" Vermont gasped backing away from the aperture, looking at the king afterwards. "Y-Your majesty, I need to leave for a second!"

"Sir, you are very injured, please allow me to help!"

"I can get to the castle on my own and get help, but thanks for the offer."

"My goodness!" An agitated green tinted knight approached the scene through the cheering villager crowd. "Blizzard! Are you-"

"Yes, I am." groaned the ice cavalier, "I can walk on my own!"

Vermont wrapped his arms around the ice knight's back as he made its way to the castle, making him sigh frustrated, legs shaky followed by the rest of his body, his helmet didn't really help either. As they made their way back to the fortress, Vermont turned his head around to look at the lady and her child, making a "thank you" gesture before entering the drawbridge.

"Alright people!" Ignis the orange Knight exclaimed loud and clear, clapping his hands three times making all the villagers turn their attention to him and the red knight, who was standing next to him. "We'll be watching over here in case there's a threat again, a'ight? So stay in your homes and relax, because if we have to kick so-"

"What he said." Raymond cut off Ignis. "This was completely out of our reach, and those assaultants, sure brought their all, so there might be a new set of rules for the sake of this land's safety, and one of them is: No person is allowed to be out of the kingdom at night, no matter the extent starting this exact day."

The villagers nodded followed by whispering inside the crowd, realizing that things might have gotten slightly difficult for them in just one night after two years of pure peace.

"One more thing," The red knight continued, "As a the king's second hand, I have the responsibility to make sure the kingdom stays safe as you can tell, therefore, more actions must be taken." He took a deep breath. "Training is obligatory. We will have to recruit young people from the village."

Everything went dead silent.

The fire Knight glared at Raymond with an eyebrow raised. "Dude, you're sure about this?"

Whispering, the electricity knight responded. "The most sure I've ever fucking been. This time I'll actually try to be a 'leader', however the king calls it. I will, for once, take matters on these things. No matter what."

"But-"

The red Knight walked away from the spot the moment Ignis was going to tell him something, disappearing upon the drawbridge that led inside the castle. Turning back to the villagepeople, the flame knight let out a small awkward chuckle. "Eh, You heard him! So, feel free to go back home and rest since..."

Before he could finish speaking the villagepeople were already heading back to their respective homes, the ones that were left untouched of course. Luckily for the people, some homes remained up, while others... turned into a pile of ashes.

"I guess see you all tomorrow..." shrugged the flame knight before heading back to the castle with the rest of his comrades.

The sky was now starry, however, the stars couldn't be seen one slight bit from all the smoke surrounding the territory, only from the outside of the gate it appeared like the smoke was slowly dispersing. The wildlife that made itself home was gone in the most part, followed by big patches of grass covered in crimson red, arrows and weapons surrounding them.

It seemed that things might have changed for all of the habitants of the kingdom, and one thing was for sure for all the village people: Life would be slightly tougher from now.
