10. Birthday Madness

Once I walked in last night I was practically floating on air.

Zak had kissed me. I went up and tucked Chanel in for bed, and told her to get some rest because she was going to have a very big day tomorrow. We kept the party pretty much a surprise.

I walked into my bedroom, and got ready for bed. I was exhausted.

As I laid down in the dark trying to sleep all I could think of was the kiss.

Several blissful hours of sleep later I was waken by a bouncing little girl on my bed.

"Chanel" I said as I tried to wake myself up.

She just giggled and plopped on the bed next to me. "Mommy. Wake up. I'm 5 now!!" she exclaimed happily. I round over and snatched her into my arms giving her a hug "happy birthday munchkin." I sang kissing her cheeks.

Natalie knocked on the doorframe. She had two bags in her hands with a vividly wild smirk on her face. "Happy Birthday Maddie" she strolled over to the be innocently.

"I saw last night!"

Shocked and panic fell across my face I'm sure, as I shushed her "shhhh." I didn't want Chanel to know.

"Natty what are you talking about?" Chanel asked looking up.

"Nothing dear" I said to Chanel. "Now go get the outfit I set out for you on. You have to get ready."

I set Chanel off the bed onto the floor and looked towards Natalie. I began once I heard faded pattering little footsteps going away from the bedroom.

"What do you mean you saw last night?!" i asked in a demanding manner.

"I was walking past my window and I saw him kiss you. He definitely kissed you." She admitted not one ounce of guilt on her face.

"Yeah but i sorta... I kinda.. We'll see I asked him to." I stuttered out.

She gasped "Ohhh Myyy that is so cute."

I rolled my eyes as she gently cleared her throat continuing "alright so I went this morning and got something for you to wear today" she said it slowly in a calming manner.

Oh. No.

She pulled out proudly showing a navy blue bikini. It's had a big white bow on each side of the bottoms, and the top was sweetheart cut, trimmed in white.

This. Is. Bad.

She shook me from my shock and urged me to try it on.

I stepped out of the bathroom with the bikini on. It wasn't so bad. I had a good enough tan and this bikini actually gave me some tasteful cleavage. I strolled out actually feeling pretty good in it.

Natalie's jaw fell slightly then formed into a smile.

"You should trust me on these things."

I looked at her "yeah Natalie you are right about this bikini." I said as I turned to her "what are you wearing"

She pulled out a light blue bikini, same style as mine only her bows, and trim were pink.

I smiled at her choice "okay go get ready" I said as I turned to go wash my face.

I only put waterproof mascara today. I'll always put mascara on. As i finished I received a called from Aaron I asked the phone with a cheerful hello

"Hey M. Zak and I are on our way. We just got the cake."

I could hear Zak in the background "hey man drive carefully I don't want to drop this cake"

I laughed silently "alright I will see you guys soon."
