Chapter 16 - Demons & Hospitals

I sat up in my bed. It was getting dark outside. I was wide awake now after I heard the tapping on the door.

I opened the door to find absolutely no one there. I was shocked at this then everything began to make sense as the room fell icy cold in a spilt second. I tried to make it to the front door but I felt my ankle pulled from underneath me. I crashed to the floor as I felt warm liquid running down my cheek. I swiped the corner of the table with my head when I fell. The room still cold, I could see my breath.

I tried to scream out, but for some unknown reason I just couldn't.

The demon was in the room with me, and no one was here to help me.

I began to panic as I left pressure on my chest. I tried to get up, but wound on head had made me lightheaded and dizzy. I tried to prop myself up, and I felt something hit me in the back of the head. I was finally able to let out a scream. "no please!" was all I managed until Everything went dark and fuzzy, I knew I had blacked out.

I strolled out of the elevator and walked swiftly down the hall to Madeline's room. I hadn't heard from her since she texted me after lunch. It was now 8 and she didn't reply to any of my texts since 6 o'clock.

I knocked on the door softly.

I waited a moment, I heard a crash. And then Madeline's voice "no please!" she was practically screaming but she sounded hurt.

Panic striking me I immediately dived into my pocket grabbing the spare key I used this morning, and unlocked the door. The room was ice cold. I saw blood. I followed the small trail of blood and I saw madeline passed out on the floor.

She was breathing fast, i ran over to her. I was shaking, I knew it was a bad idea to leave her here alone.

I took my phone out dialing 911 and calling for an ambulance.

I then called nick asking for his help in Madeline's room.

Nick and Aaron both bounded to the room and Ian went to get Natalie.

Chanel couldn't see this. I made that very clear.

Ian was to take Natalie and Chanel to the hospital once Madeline was stable, and safe.

I felt like this was all my fault. If I wouldn't have suggested her staying back at the hotel to rest she would have been walking down the hallway right by my side, perfectly safe.

The ambulance arrived as I jumped in with them. Madeline was laid out on the stretcher waking up and falling back out. I held onto her hand the whole way to the hospital. Nick and Aaron followed behind the ambulance as we drove, sirens blazing we sped down the highway.

Once at the hospital we waited, until the doctors walked into the hall where we were waiting, I jumped up feverishly.

"is she going to be okay" I asked one of the doctors.

He graciously smiled at me "yes she will be perfectly fine. Her head hit the bathroom counter pretty hard, But no concussion. We're going to release her in the morning."

I felt so relieved.

The doctor motioned for us to come "you can go see her now if you'd like." as we walked to Madeline's room. I took my phone out calling Ian and Natalie. To let them know that she was okay and being released in the morning. Chanel had fallen asleep, as we decided its best to just leave Chanel to sleep until the morning. We were going to bring her home in the morning."
