You had been gone for three months, sixteen days, and twenty-five minutes. At least, that's how long Steve had been counting. You were sent on a mission and hadn't returned since.
So, Steve set out to look for you. He spotted you out and about, a small smile on your face. Steve quickly traveled down to you, carefully grabbing your hand.
"Where have you been?" He questioned, now taking both of your hands in his. Your eyebrows furrowed together, smile fading.
"I was spending a little more time here, I told Fury. I thought he would tell you," you explained. Steve shook his head, confiding you when he realized he hadn't heard a word from or about you.
Steve's lips curled up into a small smiled. "Well, we have a lot of talking to do."
