Unkown's POV

I was walking through the woods in my wolf form when this peppermint smell filled my nostrils. It was sweet and minty and I just couldn't enough of it.

Mate! my wolf Aramis shouted.

No! It can't be!  I said. I ran towards the smell. I stopped when i saw a girl getting dressed. I stared back so she won't see me. The wind blew and she turned to me, sniffing the air. We locked eyes for awhile until I turned around. I heard her sigh as I did. Then I heard a man shout.

"Sam! Get inside! We need to talk!"

"Alright! I'm coming!" the girl yelled back

I smirked to myself. So that's her name. Sam. Cute name. I took off deeper into the woods. I stopped when I arrived at the place I was staying at. I didn't call it home because it doesn't feel like home.

I shifted back to my human form and got into my clothes. I walked to the front door of the shack when i was yanked backwards.

Great. What now? I thought.

No idea, my wolf replied.

I got up and turned around. My attacker was the Feared One, Voctoria.

"Well, well, well. Look who we have here. The Feared One. May I ask what brings you here?" I said, trying not to smirk.

She snarled. "I have a problem I need fixed."

"Like what?" I asked.

"I need a certain girl killed," she said.

"Who?"

"Her name is Samantha Hot. She's sixteen years olf, lives in a two stroy house, and goes to Charleston High," she said.

"How will I be able to kill her?" I asked.

"You come live with me. I'll enroll you into the school and I need you to become friends with her," she explained.

"And then what happens?"

"We'll just go from there," she said, looking away.

I started to worry. Usually when the Feared One wantes someone dead, she'll do it herself, but for some reason, not this one. Something about this chick must really scared the Feared One. That never happens. She turned back to me.

"So do you accept?" she asked.

I looked at her. "I accept."

Sam's POV

Over the past few days after we got kidnapped and escaped, we laid low for awhile, besides moving. We moved a few blocks down from the old house, closer to the high school. ONce we got sttled in. I went to school the next day.

Everything was the same except one thing. The new student. He was in my every class before lunch. In each class, I smelled the exact same smell that I smelled in the woods the other day. My wolf kept moaning at the smell.

Oh, shut it, I told her. She did. I walked to the cafeteria.

"Samantha Hot! Get your big booty over here!" someone yelled.

I flinched and turned. I couldn't help but smile. It was one of my guy friends. One of Trevor's buddies I stole. He's secretly gay. Only Trevor and I know. Speaking of Trevor, where is her? I walked to Jesse and his big ass smile.

"Hey, Jesse. What's up?" I said, sitting across from him.

"Nothing much. Have you seen Trevor today?"

My smile vanished and my face hardened. He saw my reaction.

"Oh, no. Did you two get into a fight?"  he asked concerned.

I shrugged. "I guess you can say that," I said.

"Awe. I'm sorry. Do you want to talk about it?"

I shook my head.

"Did you two break up or something?" he asked.

"Jesse, I said I didn't want to talk about it," I said loudly.

He opened his mouth like he was gonna say soemthing but thought better of it and snapped it shut. We ate in silence throughout the lunch period. We didn't see Trevor at all that day. I had Jesse drive me home. I was just too distracted to drove myself. I noticed someone sitting on my porch as we pulled into my driveway. The person looked up and my breath got caught in my throat. Trevor. I got out quickly but walked slowly to him. Before I spoke a word to him, I turned around and waved good-bye t oJesse. He nodded and drove away. I looked back at Trevor.

He wouldn't look back, though. I rolled my eyes and said, "What do you want?"

He looked at me but didn't say anything. I rolled my eyes again. "Whatever," I said and started to walk to the door, but Trevor grabbed my arm and pinned me against the wall. My heart was thumping eractically and I was breathing hard.

"I'm so sorry, Sam," he whispered. "I wanted to tell you. You remember the first time we met and you said you you felt like you've known forever?"

I nodded.

He sighs. "Well, you have known me for a very long time."

I looked up at him in confusion. "I'll explain later but we met when we were both seven years old and that's when I found it."

"Found out what?"

"That you were my mate."
