We had just excited the airport. My parent were waiting for our Uber while KK and I were messing around with our luggage. We had the ones with four wheels on the bottom, so we pushed each other around on it. You don't understand how fun it is (seriously, try it). When we got bored of pushing each other around, we started racing each other, which ended with both of us falling flat on our faces...It was still worth it, and let the record show that I won the races. *hairflip* (play the video)

"Beep, beep!" It was our Uber.

KK and I quickly stopped horsing around and acted as nothing had happened. We totally weren't just acting like 5 year olds. What are you talking about? We weren't rolling around on a suitcase (strong sarcasm).

We put our suitcase in the trunk of the car and sat down in the car. I was sitting in the back with KK and our mom. Our dad was sitting up front. When I entered the car, a wave of stench hit me. It smelled like booze, smoke, and old people. I have a very strong sense of smell, so small odors are very big to me. That's another reason why I chew gum so often. It helps block out smells.

"你闻到了么 (do you smell it?)" I asked KK in Chinese. Because both of us know how to speak Chinese, we often say things we don't want other people to hear in Chinese. It comes in handy.

"我也闻到了。好像是酒。(I also smell it. I think it is alcohol.)"

"绝对是酒!(It's definitely alcohol!)" our dad said. I got my nose from my dad, so we both have stronger smelling senses.

"Do you want gum?" I asked my dad. He must also be suffering from the rancid smell in the car.

"Yes."

"Can I have some too?" KK and our mom said in unison. Our mom also knew Chinese, but could only speck and listen to it. She can't read or write in Chinese.

"Sure." I said, handing them gum. I just hope the Uber driver isn't drunk. I'm not ready to die yet. The Uber driver doesn't look drunk... I think.

~~~
I spent most of the car ride in agony. At first I tried to open the window, but it was on child lock. Then I tried only breathing with my mouth, but that wasn't working because I could taste the smell and that was disgusting. Then I tried covering my nose with my clothes and breathing through that, but it got too humid and hot. Finally, I found a solution.  I breathed through my hair. The shampoo and conditioner I use smells like vanilla and flowers. The smell only "activates" when my hair gets wet, so if I breathe in my hair, it starts blocking out the rancid smell. It makes me look extremely weird, but as long as my nose is happy, I'm happy.
The car ride was a hour long, so I was stuck breathing in my hair for most of the ride. KK kept on laughing at me because it "looked like I had a mustache". She doesn't understand me and the pain I'm goin through. Once we get to our Grandma's house, I'm goin got get my revenge. Her nose isn't extra sensitive, but her ears are. Anything off tune by the slightest bit will make her cringe. I'm going to play off beat music from her favorite anime. She probably won't talk to me for a week...Oh well, you got to risk it for the biscuit.
