I find myself lying on the floor.
"I guess I cried  myself to sleep," I thought.
I got up from the floor and looked at the window. I noticed it was very dark outside, so I assumed that the time was around midnight. While walking towards the light purple door, I reached my hand out to grab the door nob and opened it.
"Hello," I whispered. I didn't want my mom to wake up, so I closed the door slowly. After that, I tiptoed through the hallway and down the stairs. When I was around the corner, I peeked in the kitchen before I continue walking. I looked and then turned back to the corner very fast. I saw my dad looking threw the fridge. I started thinking to myself, "What is my dad doing here? Why IS he still here?"
Then I heard footsteps walking towards me.
I thought, "Should I go up stairs. No, he'd probably see me if I did. Then, the only option is .... the bathroom." I ran down the hallway near the stairs, I turned right, opened the bathroom door, and tried not to slam it, but I did. I locked the door and tried to keep my hard breathing to a whisper. "Knock, knock." "Hello, anybody in there?" my dad asked.
As he kept saying "hello," I realized that this bathroom has the light switch outside.
"Okay, I'm going to turn off the light. In three, two, one." "Click." My dad turned off the light right after he said one.
"Okay, okay. I give up, now can you turn the lights back on?" I asked after sitting in the dark for like 15 seconds. He turned the lights back on. I slowly got up, thinking of what I should do next.
"Yes?" I said while opening the door.
"Why are you hiding from me?" My dad asked.
"Who said I was hiding from you? I asked.
"You ran into the bathroom before I could even say anything."
"Umm. Well, what are you still doing here anyway?"
"Sigh, your mother said that I could stay here for a while instead of spending my money on some hotel," my dad explains.
"Oh." Just as soon as I was about to walk to my room, my dad asked, "Aren't you gonna answer my question?"
