After five other classes, school was over, finally. I walked outside the building and saw some students walking to the buses, some hung out in the school, and some waited for a ride home, like me. Which was bad news because Margrid and her minions were looking for me. As they were asking people around if they have seen me, I hid in a corner, sitting on the ground. I sat there for five minutes and they were still looking for me.
"Shit, where is that girl? She's gonna get it so bad when I'm done with her," Margrid said after she regrouped with her minions.
"Look, maybe we should just go home. She probably left already," Jeana suggested. Jeana is one of the girls in Margrid's pack. Jeana has long brown hair with pink, blue, and purple highlights on the right side of her hair. By the way she was dressed, you can tell that she likes edgy pop music.
"Look, what Jeana is trying to say is that you should quit being stubborn and let's just go home," Maddie said. Maddie has blonde short hair. She's a tomboy.
"Who side are you two on?" Margrid asked. Margrid has orange medium size hair and has freckles on her face. She was wearing a white shirt with a blue and red stripped tie, and a black ruffle skirt.
"Hey. I'm just saying the truth," Maddie said.
"I'm not trying to be rude, but I have to get home soon," Jeana said.
While they were having their conversation, I realized that they were at least six feet apart from me. They were right in front of me and I'm sure if I didn't keep my mouth shut, they would have heard me.
"I can't believe you two. You guys better watch who you're talking," Margrid said as she crossed her arms with a look of frustration on her face.
"Oh my god. Can't we just go home? We're wasting too much damn time here. And the fact that the teachers also give us too much fucking homework is tiring enough-." Maddie stopped talking to the other girls after our eyes had meet.
"Shh, please don't tell," I mouthed to Maddie. She stood there for a second and sighed.
"Come on, how about we do a sleepover at Jeana's place and work on our homework over there? I'm sure her mom won't mind," Maddie said as she looked away from me.
"Yeah, I guess she wouldn't mind," Jeana agreed.
"Ok. Then let's take my car," Margrid said as she and Jeana started walking. "Are you coming?" Margrid asked Maddie.
"I'll meet you guys at the car in a minute," Maddie said as she watched them walked off to the car. Then she looked at me as a signal to stop hiding. I towards her to thank her.
"Thank you for not telling them that I was hiding," I said.
"No problem, but you owe me," Maddie said.
"How come?"
"Well, you got my ass into some sleepover that I wasn't planning to go to because I had other things planned. So, you owe me," Maddie said as she walked off to join the others while waving the peace sign to me. I guess that's her way of saying goodbye.
