*Chapter Five - The Deal*
(Riley's POV)
My heart skipped a beat and my breath caught in my throat as I stared into his eyes. The fights around me began to blur, and all that I saw was him.
This staring contest went on for a while, neither of us wanting to be the one who looks away first.
"Riley we have a problem!" Kimmy yells at me over the crowd, breaking the connection between us. "The new guy-- whatever his name is-- is starting fights in the men's changing room!"
Taking one last look over my shoulder at him, I notice that he is gone. I shake my head and take off run towards the changing room with Kimmy.
We frantically push through the crowd trying to get there as fast as we can. The crowd is too occupied by the fight in the ring to notice that we are pushing through them.
We arrive at the changing room and right away we can hear the screams of the fighters, some telling them to stop and others are encouraging them.
"You son of a-"
"Hey! What is going on in here!" I scream at the top of my lungs as I storm into the room.
Everyone stops what they are doing and stares at me. It is so silent that you could hear a pin drop. Well everyone was quiet except Kimmy, she is standing behind me laughing her ass off.
Now just imagine a 5'3'' girl bargaining in a room full of 6' something, muscular men, who all look ready to kill. And making them all go silent by yelling at them. So yeah, it's kinda funny.
"Now that I got everyone's attention, who is going to fucking tell what is going on here?" I questioned, anger and annoyance laced my voice.
"He started it!" Tyler, one of the younger fighters, pointed at Cole accusingly.
Cole Baxter is sitting in the corner of the room with a smirk on his face looking smug as hell, almost as if he is enjoy this entire thing.
"After his match Cole came in here looking pissed and he just punched Tommy for no-"
"That's not what happened." Cole interrupts, pushing himself up and walking towards us, "Yes I came in here pissed, but I didn't punch the kid for no reason."
As he walks up to me I notice that his eyes look behind me before continuing, "The kid said something to me that he shouldn't have said. So being pissed and pumped up with adrenaline, I punched him. And then everyone started yelling."
I let my eyes scan over all of the guys in the room before settling them back on Cole, "Leave."
"Wha- what?" Cole sputtered.
"You heard me. Leave." I commanded, "I don't give second chances around here."
"I would do what she tells you, man. You really don't want to be on Riley's bad side," advised Kimmy, as she crosses her arms with a raised eyebrow.
"Riley?" he questions, his eyes give me a once over as he sizes me up, "So you're the owner. Hm."
"What is that supposed to-"
"Kimmy," I warn, "Stand down."
I turn my attention back to Cole, "I suggest that you pack your things and go."
And with that Kim and I turn to go leave.
As we walked out I turned to her and said, "If you guys need me for the rest of the night I will be in my office with King and Nova."
I change my direction and start walking to my office. On my way there I accidentally bump into someone, "I'm sorry-"
"It's fine, Mi Gorrion." The man says.
The little girl was playing with her first switchblade as her father was talking to the creepy man who kept staring at her with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
She didn't understand why her father was letting the man take her, but she will soon find out it was because she needed to learn.
My eyes go wide in fear, silently hoping that it isn't who I think it is as I recall a memory. Whipping my head around I find that the man is gone with the crowd.
With shaky hands I open the door to my office and go in.
I suck in a breath when I realize who is sitting behind my desk, "What are you doing in here?"
My eyes scan over his body noticing that he has tattoos peeking out of his navy blue suit. Swallowing down my fear I let my eyes travel up his body to his face.
My god he is beautiful.
"I am here to propose a deal with you," Alexander speaks up, his voice deep and gravel-like makeing me want to melt.
"What kind of deal?" I question with a raised eyebrow, my voice coming out a little shaky, still shaken up by the encounter I had not more then a few moments ago.
"A deal that will benefit both of us. I know about your money problems with your gym. And I can pay you a big amount if you come and train my new recruits for my company." He states as he walks up directly in front of me.
His face comes closer to mine, "What do you say?"
I stare into his deep blue eyes knowing what I will say next will change my life for better or worse, "When do I start?"
A satisfied smirk forms on his face at my words. He bends down and whispers in my ear, "Good answer, Firefly."
