Joongi POV
Our bodies were sore and the room was a royal mess. Ha Jin lay next to me, curled, and fast asleep, tired from our passionate activity just now. Or should I say, activities. Maybe it's activity: singular. Because it was sex. But we did it more than once just now. But it can't be plural because one activity done several times does not make it plural right?
Ugh, I don't know.
I sighed and looked at her, glowing and angelic.
She is so beautiful. Like a dream. I slept for a while and woke up before her. I washed myself up before lifting her off the bed and laying her down in the tub, filled with soapy water. She stirred and opened her eyes.
"Joongi-ya" she mumbled.
"It's ok. Rest. I'll clean you up."
She nodded. I washed her and clothed her. I let her sleep on the couch as I cleaned the bed. Once it was clean, I placed her back on the bed and tucked her under the blanket.
I stept out into the living room and my phone buzzed.
"Hyung!"
"Baekhyun? What happened? You sound worried."
"Hyung. It's my girlfriend. Her birthday is coming up and I don't know what to get her."
I rolled my eyes.
"Well buy her whatever she likes."
"Well, she doesn't tell me what she likes besides me."
"What?"
"She says that she wants me for her birthday. We are already dating so I don't know why she said that."
"She wants you to spend time with her on her birthday."
"What do I do? I don't want it to be the cliche cake or dinner or party or... you know... romantic k-drama stuff"
"Then give her something only you can give her"
"Aish. No one is helping me out chincha. All my hyungs just talk in riddles."
I laughed
"Anyway hyung. How are you?"
"I'm great actually."
"Glad to see you happy. I gotta rush. Suho-hyung beckons!" and he cut the call. I smiled and connected my phone to the charger.
Should I tell Ha Jin the truth? Or would it make things worse for her?
I need a sign. To know how to move forward. I can't keep the truth away forever.
When she woke up, we decided to go out for a drive. Ha Jin sat, quiet, looking serene and calm, unlike her fierce self.
"What are you thinking?" I asked."Just how perfect this is" she smiled.
I smiled.
"I don't think it can get better than this"
I didn't know what to think about this statement. It felt ominous more than anything.
"Let's not see each other anymore, Joongi"
"What U-turn are you taking?" I asked in disbelief.
"I need to take care of myself first"
"Let me help you"
"You can't"
"I can. Because I am not Joongi. Joongi died. I'm Wang So and I time-traveled here. You had time-traveled back to my time and knew me. We were lovers. You died giving birth to my child and you were transported back here with no memories of the time you had traveled to."
Ha Jin stared at me, "Are you making fun of me right now?"
"No! I'm telling the truth"
"Go back to South Korea"
"I'm telling you the truth Hae Soo"
Ha Jin froze, "That name. That's my name in my nightmares"
"You were Hae Soo. Please, I can't lose you now"
"You don't love me. You love Hae Soo. I'm Ha Jin. Not Hae Soo."
"Yes, you aren't her. And I love you."
