Instead of that tight white dress I was dressed in grey tracksuits, a white long sleeve with a puffy snow jacket and Ugg boots on. Pulling my hair into two low loose braids and a beanie over my head I walked outside and shut the door and locked it.

If your wondering about my parents they are away as always, business trips you name it. Their jobs are too travel around the world and import food. It pretty good but I barely get to see them so I have the house to myself a lot with my grandmother next door coming to check on me and see if I'm okay.

"You look all cozy."

Jumping at the voice I whipped around to see the strangers lips pursed, wanting to let out a laugh.

"Stop scaring me!" I huffed and walked down the stairs shoving my hands in my jacket pockets "that's the second time this night!"

"Sorry not sorry." He shrugged and we began walking.

"What's your name?" I blurted and he snorted "I'm Nicholas."

"Evangelina, but you can just call me Eva for sure."

"Sure dork."

Turning my head I glared at him to see a cheeky smile on his face, he didn't look at me but he knew I was glaring at me.

"You know glaring me isn't going to magically kill me." He muttered sarcastically and I rolled my eyes "let me prove you wrong."

He snorted and I looked at his outfit. Wearing a black sweater with grey sweatpants also with ugg boots he looked really cute.

I blushed and turned away from him. My eyes on our steps. He took long large steps whilst mine were short and fast. He easily towered over my tiny 5'5 frame.

Pushing my glasses up my nose I was curious about Nick.

"What's your favourite colour?"

He looked at me "green."

"Tea or coffee?"

"Both."

"Favourite band?"

"Foo fighters."

I gasped and grasped on his arm making us to stop walking. He looked at me with a cocked brow and he smiled when he saw my face. My eyes were wide and a massive grin on my face.

"I love food fighters!" I giggled "how about Red hot Chilli Peppers?"

"Have all their albums."

My heart was beating faster.

"The killers?"

"Absolutely."

Sweat was forming on my forehead.

"Guns n roses?"

"Of course sweet child o'mine."

I was in love.

"You and I are definitely going to get along just fine."

We do get along just fine. We walked around the block a few times talking about our passions. Music, food, books and nature. I liked this guy, he was sweet, he was funny and we clicked.

He told me he bought the house with his best friend and Nick was a year older then I was. A mechanic to be in fact.

At eleven we stood in front of my house laughing at the horrible dad joke I made.

"So Dork.." he trailed off and I gave Nick a stern look making him grin.

"Tomorrow is Saturday. My roomie is making a BBQ, your more then welcome to come."

BBQ? Yes please!

"You'll see me there." I smiled at him and pat his shoulder "I had a great time."

"Me too Dork."

Glaring at him he smirked and grabbed the top of my beanie pulling it over my face. "Hey!" I growled and pulled the beanie off my head and slapped him in the face with it "how dare you."

"Oh I'm so scared." He gasped sarcastically staring at me with wide eyes. Shoving my clenched fist in his face I growled out "oh you better be Pretty boy!"

Suddenly he was smirking and raised a thick brow at me "so you think I'm pretty."

I think your gorgeous, but I'm not smooth enough to admit it so I'm just gonna mock you.

"Don't get too excited. Your pretty ugly."

Patting his heart he let out a sniffle "oh dork you wound me."

Rolling my eyes and shoving his shoulder I began walking up my stairs and grinned at him "what time?"

"Six."

I unlocked the door and opened it. As I was about to walk in I turned around and waved at him.

"Bye Nick!"

"Bye sweetness."

Blushing I shut the door softly and unzipped my jacket. Hanging it on the chair I heaved our a dreamy sigh.

"Who was that?"

Screaming I jumped to see my Nonna standing there with an sly grin on her face.

"Nonna!" I gasped my hand on my chest as I calmed myself down "you scared the shit out of me!"

"Don't care, who was that handsome young man?"

Rolling my eyes I crossed my arms and gave her a blank look "his our new neighbour."

"Ah lovely." She mumbled through her Italian accent "his a gentleman I like him."

I nodded agreeing with her. Nonna and I walked back into the living room to see her Italian TV on.

"Ti Prego, non lasciarmi Mario! Non posso vivere senza di te ti amo!"

Rolling my eyes I grabbed th TV remote and changed the channel.

"Aye!" Nonna hissed glaring at me with mossy green eyes "don't touch'a my TeeVee!"

Chuckling the news was playing. It showed a car smashed into a tree and it took some massive damage.

"Here on Correa Road four teenagers underage and drink driving have smashed into a tree, here are the details."

Correa road wasn't to far from us actually.

Nonna shook her head "stupid kids." She mumbled changing the channel.

Replay of Friends was playing so Nonna and I sat back and watched the show. Until she sat up and turned to me "Eva!"

"Si Nonna?"

"I just remembered, I need you to pick your cousin up from the airport."

I frowned, why did I just know this now? And which cousin? I've got so many I've honestly lost count.

"Who?"

Nonna took a deep breath and looked at me with her warm green eyes tucking a blonde lock behind her ear.

"Your cousin Renesmae is coming."

I've never met Renesmae but the look in Nonna's eyes meant she was trouble.
